Dr. Kipp has been a terrific Dr. to our son. Dr. Kipp does not mince words- and we like that! He's all business but not intimidating to our son. We appreciate his constant concern for our son's well-being.

I have been taking my children (5 of them) to Dr. Deardorf since 1988 when my first was born (he is 22 now!) and I have never had a problem with him or Palo Verde Pediatrics' doctors. Dr. Deardorf has gone out of his way to help us in emergency and non-emergency situations. I wouldn't take my kids anywhere else! I hope he doesn't retire before my 12 year old is an adult.

I believe he is one of the worst pediatricians in the valley. He is rude and condescending to parents. I have 2 teenagers and decided to try him with my 3rd child. (she is 13 years younger than the other 2). I even work in the pediatric field and he felt he needed to lecture me on carseats and sleeping on her belly and bouncy chair safety. I felt like I was the stupidest person ever. His office staff is something to be desired as well. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I am a first time mom, so I'm not sure exactly what I need to do to get started. I called Palo Verde and the receptionist there was very callous and rude. I don't know about you, but if I can't even get a few questions answered or even listened to on a call like mine; God forbid my child was an actual patient there. I want a place that is kind, considerate and will listen. You won't find that here.

Our family has had no problems with Dr. Kipp or Palo Verde Pediatrics in all the years (over 15, 5 kids) that they've been our pediatricians. I think all of the partners in this group are completely trustworthy, competent, caring doctors; it's just that some have better bedside manners than others. As long as my kids are getting good healthcare, I'm not too worried about that aspect being perfect. I've never been rushed or ignored, although waiting all day for a call back from the doctor or nurse is as aggravating here as it is in every other doctor's office. Overall, A+

We have only seen Dr. Kipp 5 times. I will never take my girls there again.
One of my children had been sick for 2 weeks with what started out as cold symptoms. SHe began complaining of headaches, and had a wheezy cough, and alot of congestion. He did a fast check and barely looked at her throat. He said she just had a cold. I told him then what was I to do. He said that a cold can last days, weeks, or months and just to use a humidifier. I couldn't believe it.
Then my other daughter had a stye. He looked at her eye quickly and prescribed an eye ointment. After the medicine was gone, she was still having problems with redness and swelling. I called the office hoping for an oral antibiotic.Instead, he requested I bring her in again. So, in the exam room he entered and was standoffish. He asked why she was there. I felt like saying why don't you read her chart! I described her symptoms again and stated I wanted to see if there was anything else we could do for her eye. He said, "Probably nothing. I usually don't give antibiotics for this but, we'll see.
I was infuriated, because he requested to see her. I was going to be really upset if we wasted our time and co-pay for him to do nothing. He just has a very callous attitude and should not be treating children.
On one occasion recently, I was trying to get some answers from him regarding my six year olds bouts of heartburn, and a stinging in her stomach for months now. He said it was probably just anxiety from school. i told him I didn't think so because her symptoms continued during this past summer. He still insisted it was just nerves. I felt like he just dismissed my concerns and just came to his own conlusions without considering it may be something . I would not recommend him at all!!

Our experience with PV was awful. Dr. Kipp didn't want to take the time to thoroughly meet with us and discuss our concerns. This was especially egregious since our son has since been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Dr. Kipp dismissed our concerns about trouble eating, weight loss, lack of head control, and missing milestones. For the first six months of our son's life Dr. Kipp missed many key signs that things were wrong with our son. Things got so bad that we decided to take our son to the ER where he was admitted for failure to thrive and spent six days in the hospital. Dr. Kipp was so dismissive to our concerns and and so callous when the diagnosis of CP was given that it makes me sick to this day just to think of our experience at PV.

I would give them zero stars if possible.

We have been very pleased with Palo Verde Peds. We found them by luck and interviewed our primary care doc (Dr. Mike Perlstein). He took the time to meet with us and answer all of our new parent questions. Our daughter is now 5 and she loves Dr.Mike. Our 1 year old now also sees him too. Dr. Mike has always given us time and has never rushed us out the door. The nurses are super too! They are always kind. We have had experiences with Dr. Chang and Dr. Kipp and thought they were great with our kids too. I'm not sure what other people are experiencing, but I would recommend PVP to anyone.

My children have been going to Palo Verde Peds, and specifically Dr. Mike for 4 years. Ever since we moved to Gilbert. Our experience with Dr. Mike Perlstein has been nothing but positive and nurturing. He takes the time to listen and explain. He answers any questions you might have in laymans terms, not Greek. The most positive thing.... the kids love him!! He is gentle, reassuring, and comical, which the kids respond to very positively. I know every experience is different, but it is unfair to judge a group or practice based on one experience or review. I wouldn't hesitate to allow Dr. Mike to treat my children. Thank You, Dr. Mike!!!

My children went to Palo Verde Pediatrics for a few months and it was a terrible experience. In addition to extremely rude and inefficient front desk staff, the wait times were incredibly long and Dr. Deardorff often seemed like it was more of an inconvenience than a joy to see and treat my children. One time my infant daughter had a diaper rash that progressed to a yeast infection. After spending only about fifteen seconds (literally, I am not exaggerating) glancing at the bright red, white-spotted rash, he told me I was wrong, it was only a diaper rash, and start using desitin on it. I told him I'd been using Desitin for over a week and he just said it would eventually go away, turned on his heel, and stalked out. Needless to say, I went to another pediatrician who was stunned and angered when he saw my daughter's bright red rash and heard my story about PV pediatrics. It was indeed a yeast infection, and with proper treatment, it was gone in a few days. We are still happily going to Gilbert Pediatrics, where the doctors actually...gasp...care about the kids they see.

We have been with Palo Verde Pediatrics since 2004. I love that I can always get my son in when he is feeling under the weather. My older children were his patients when they were babies and we moved out of network. Now that we are back in their network we are glad to be able to have them as the younger children's doctors. We have been patients of Dr. Deardorff off and on since 1992. As long as our insurance will cover us, we will gladly be his patients.

My daughter was 26 months old and incredibly ill. We saw three of the doctors at Palo Verde and none of them took the time to be thorough or thoughtful. She ended up getting so sick with strep throat (they didn't even do a strep culture at the first two appointments). After the third appointment they just said she has about 20 hours before she's so dehydrated and sick that we would admit her to a hospital. The next day she was so dehydrated and sick that we went to Good Night Pediatrics and they immediately did a strep culture which came back positive, gave her an IV due to extreme dehydration and a shot of antibiotics. If the doctors would have given us just a little more of their time I know that our daughter would have not have had to endure having an IV!!!
After this experience I spoke to the front desk manager and she was so incredibly rude. I then spoke to our primary care doctor (Dr. Deardorff) and he was also rude. I explained that they needed to make more time for the doctors to be thorough, but he told me that I was wrong.
After this horrible experience we changed doctors and are very happy at Pueblo Pediatrics!

We have gone to Dr. Kipp for 7 years. He takes time to talk with me on an adult level and the kids on their level. We have never waited very long in the waiting room (1/2 hour max during flu season). The nurses are super with the kids, also. Fun and good giving the shots. I am not rushed in the appointment and have been well informed on issues. I am always ask if I have any questions and they are answered. They have a sick and well side; a movie playing for entertainment. The waiting rooms are clean with no toys. The kids always discuss each themed exam room while we wait; Sports, Space, Library, Store, etc. The kids like to see the Dr. sick or well.

I would recommend these doctors to anyone searcing for a good pediatrician. I have been going there for over two years and everytime I have been impressed. I have never felt rushed in any appointment and have always had all my questions answered. I feel very well equipped with information regarding my children's healthcare because of our doctor. Furthermore, they are open on Saturday and Sunday mornings for sick children so you don't have to go into an Urgent Care Clinic.

We used to go to PV Pediatrics but had to switch after several bad experiences. They are always running behind at least an hour. They scheduled my child's well checks too close together for her shots so I had to make a 2nd appointment for the shots. The receptionist said it wouldn't be a big deal to come back since I'd only have to see the nurse. I still waited over an hour. They made it sound like it was my fault for scheduling them close together so I guess I was supposed to know that these shots had to be at least 6 weeks apart. It didn't matter to them at all and no apologies were made. Another time my son was very sick and they said they could see him if I could get there within 15 minutes. I rushed to get there only to sit in the waiting room for almost an hour with a sick puking 18 month old. We've switched and have been with the new pediatrician for almost 2 years now and they're wonderful.

We have been going to this practice for years now. It is in a convienient location and has lots of parking spaces. The nurses and reception staff are wonderful. I love that they have a waiting room for well check-ups and a seperate waiting room for sick kiddos. There are restrooms in the waiting area on the sick side and well as the well side. It's nice that I don't have to take the kids into the office to use the bathroom before our time.
