After shoveling snow in Dec.2009, I had severe pain in my lower back, right groin and down my right leg,. The pain was so bad I blacked out. The pain would come and go for the next three days. The last episode of severe pain was different. My right calf and foot went numb. I continued to have mild pain in my lower back, groin and calf. In addition, I had weakness in my right leg. Because of the numbness in my foot I had to think about how to walk so I wouldn't twist my ankle. A MRI of my spine done in Jan.2010 showed a L4-5 synovial cyst. My orthopedic surgeon recommended epidural steroid injections of the lumbar spine. I was told this would help my symptoms. The injections could continue for possibly months. If the injection were not successful I would need surgery, which would require a fusion of my lower back. As a nurse for over twenty years, I have seen poor outcomes with patients after surgery..I opted for a nontraditional route I tried acupuncture; acupuncture is safe and has no side effects. I started my first treatment on Feb. 2010. After several treatments the pain in my lower back, groin and calf were gone. At the end of Feb. the numbness in my calf was gone and by March 24, I had total feeling in my foot/toes back. After two years of being under his care, I highly recommend Scott. He is very professional and knowledgeable about his field. His friendly and easy going manner makes you feel at ease. I owe Scott a world of gratitude.

I would highly recommend Scott Nelson, LAc for acupuncture therapy and any holistic healthcare needs. I have been to many acupuncturists for various reasons, but Scott's superior acupuncture skills and knowledge of natural medicine have helped me tremendously over the past few years. From tension headaches/migraines to spontaneously pulled back muscles, Scott always makes me feel better after his acupuncture treatments. His compassion and soothing demeanor allow me to relax and have hope that there is relief. You can trust in his healthcare services as nothing but safe and effective. I would send my kids and grandparents to see Scott Nelson, LAc.

Dr. Nelson is a fantastic acupuncturist. Being someone who has never received acupuncture before, he completely put me at ease on my first visit, thoroughly explaining the process. Any questions I may have on any part of my treatment are explained in a way that I understand. The office environment is tranquil and inviting, and not boring and sterile like most doctors' offices. If I suddenly come down with any illness or injury, Dr. Scott is just a phone call away and will always see me that day. I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Scott Nelson, L. Ac., is the worst acupuncturist I've ever encountered. He doesn't understand the medicine, he has poor interpersonal skills, and his technique is lacking. He's clearly so wrapped up in his own problems - of which there seem to be many, which is not a surprise in view of his inability to manage his own emotions - that he makes unpardonable mistakes. Needles too deep, needles in the wrong places, wrong diagnoses - how does this guy stay in business? And he gets aggressive when criticized. Scott Nelson, L. Ac., is a disaster waiting to happen to you. Good luck.
