Shar Kunovsky has helped me navigate one of the most difficult life changes I could have ever imagined. Her ability to listen and ask questions that dig into what motivates choices is extraordinary. She is a talented therapist and I feel very lucky to have her help.

Shar helped me more than I expected. I've seen a few counselors and therapists over the years, but she was the best by far. She is a retired attorney, but don't let that fool you. I think that experience in business makes her the perfect cross-over between therapist, business mentor and coach. Her intelligent insight and practical questions helped me get clear during our discussions of difficult executive management issues and she coached me through an extremely sensitive situation in my upper-level management position. I??m continuing to see her weekly just to ??debrief? and it??s reduced my stress level dramatically. My doctor says she??s a life saver.

I have been working with DBT skills for the past few years on and off with Shar, and they have changed my life! Last year I took her women's DBT skills training group, and it was fantastic. The other women were supportive, frank and funny, and we learned so many valuable skills that I couldn't start to name all that we got out of it. There were two women repeating the group because they had found it so helpful. I know her group fills up quickly, so get on her waiting list if you're interested in it. She also does individual DBT training, and doing it that way is very helpful too because you get more individual time to process whatever comes up during the week. I'd highly recommend either method.

I'm 42 and have been in therapy on and off for depression and anxiety (inherited, genetic - thanks, mom!) since I was a teen, and meeting Shar was like taking a breath of fresh air. She is much more direct than most therapists, and if you ask her something, she will help you figure things out without taking forever. I go for therapy weekly just to stay "tuned up" now that my anxiety is under control. She helped me reduce my stress level and gave me concrete ideas and skills that I could implement to really see improvement.

Like another reader mentioned, I also had a few EMDR sessions for specific traumatic issues. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to let go of fears that had been haunting me for years.
