Watch out for unnecessary xrays. At the initial consultation xrays were taken and the doctor looked at them and did his exam. So far so good. When my kids went back for their cleaning appointments the technician took another set of xrays. When I asked the front desk/billing person why they took another set of xrays after the doctor had already completed his exam I was told not to worry about it because the insurance would pay for it.

Well, not only did the insurance not pay for the second set of xrays, even if they had it lowers the benefits left to pay for necessary procedures for the rest of the year. Complaining about the extra charges did not do any good and I ended up having to pay the $158 since they had already taken the extra xrays on 2 of my kids.

Also, I would watch out for the technicians doing some of the drilling work. This is legal in the state of Washington but not advisable. Some dentist do it because it saves them time and they get to charge the same as if they did the work. This office uses this practice.

I never had any problems with the actual dentist's work (I did with one of the assistants) but I want to be able to trust the whole practice. In my opinion the practice reflects on the dentist and it was too much work to try and get good, honest service from this practice.
