I am shocked to see the negative experiences people have had with Dr. Gray or his office. My kids love him. My 3 year old asks constantly when she can go to the dentist again, because she loves it so much. He is very kind to the kids and the rest of the staff are also. I've never had a problem with him. However, my kids are fairly mellow and don't have any dental problems. I am not sure how he is with difficult or willful children or when doing fillings, etc.
We had made an appointment for our 2 year old to have his very first dentist appointment. The appointment was made 2 months in advance. So the day comes and we are there ten minutes early. Since my son was sleeping in the car, I left him with my husband while I went to check in and fill out the paperwork. The lady at the front desk said I could go and get him...I am assuming since it is now our appointment time that we will be seen.....15 minutes pass and I watch two families come in with 9:30 appointments(they are late) go right in. I go ask the lady at the desk if I am mistaken and our appointment is not actually at 9:30. She says it is but since we are a new patient they like to have the rooms nice and quiet for a first time visit...OK no problem...still waiting and it is now almost 10:00 and I witness two more patients be taken in right away. I again approach the girl and she says oh we already have another new patient in the back so it will be a bit longer. At that point I decide to leave and let her know we will not be coming back....I understand waiting but watching everyone else go in when they first arrive is unacceptable when I was early to our appointment. She made no effort to even try to get us back into a treatment room...Super bad customer service...and she didn't say a word when we left.
I think that we are confusing two different dentists here, I'm 13 and my mom asked me to write a review and right a wrong here. I LOVE doctor Gray, he is so much fun and makes it fun and easy, I have never had even one cavity. My little cousins have seen him since they were two and he sent them a certificate of achievment for losing a tooth, and all three of them love him too.
After reading these horrible reveiws of Dr. Gray, I felt the urge to write a review of my own. Never have my kid's been to a more kind, nurturing and extremely educated pediatric dentist. Dr. Gray makes every child that walk's into his practice feel special. My kid's ask monthly when their next cleaning is because they can't wait to come back. He is a kind hearted, God fearing man. His faith also show's in his work. I honestly was dumb founded as I read the reviews above of Dr. Gray.... Are they sure they have the right dentist? I refer him to every mother I know. Your kid's are in excellent hand's if he is chosen as your child's dentist. Try him, you'll see :)
I took my 4 year old daughter to him for her check up. It was a regular check up. She sat down in the chair and let the nurse brush her teeth. Dr. Gray came up and she started to feel insecure. She made it plenty obvious that she did not want to be touched. So, when Dr. Gray thought it would be a good idea to pick her up she started kicking and flaling her arms, so that he would let go of her. She then hit him in the mouth with one of her flaling arms. All hell broke loose. He yelled at her and told her to "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE". Not sure about the house part. She did like any child who is getting yelled at did and fell to the ground and went into the fetal position. Then he continued to yell at her and then had the audacity to demand that she (MY 4 YEAR OLD) write an appology letter in order for her to come back. My daughter can barely write her own name. I talked to her for awhile, told her it was not nice to hit, but that we were leaving and never coming back again. That night she woke up crying because of the horrific event that had occured. If you would like your child to be yelled and screamed at, please by all means go to this god awful human being. If not, not not ever go to this Doctor. He loves your child and then if they do something he does not have time for or does not want to deal with, even though, he is a pediatric dentist, then he leaves them, or tell them to get out. How is that for professional?

I visited Dr grays office with my 5 year old. The girls he has working for him were all great, but I feel that my expectations of Todd Gray were not met. It seems as if he has so many patients that the importance of being personal with his work is not there at all. I felt as if my child were "just another kid" to him. Nothing was explained to me, no tx plan was presented, and I left confused. After several calls and Messages to the office, with no return calls, I was refered out because I didnt have insurance. Very disappointed with a Dr that has a very big reputation around here.
