I was originally very happy with Dr. Wheelock. I thought she was super nice and my kids really liked her. Over time, however, it became increasingly difficult to be seen for sick visits. The last straw was when my daughter fell and hit her head. It was during office hours and I called the office and was told to go to the emergency room because the doctor did not have any appointments available. I could not believe that a patient of record would be turned away for an urgent issue during office hours. I asked for Dr. Wheelock to call me and then took my child to the urgent care. When Dr. Wheelock returned my call, she was incredibly rude and informed me that this "is a business" for her and that she is not running an urgent care center. While I appreciate the challenges of patient flow management and making efforts to stay on schedule, every parent understands when emergencies or illnesses occur. You may not want to wait, but you certainly would want your child to be seen by his/her doctor when that child is ill or in need. I immediately switched and have been very happy with our new office. We are always able to be seen for sick visits and, guess what....we've never waited for our well visits for over 5 minutes! Please...don't buy into Dr. Wheelock's nicey nice demeanor...she doesn't really care that much.

I completely disagree with the negative reviews about Dr. Wheelock and her office. I am a mother of three and have had nothing but exceptional care by this office. Dr. Wheelock is amazing in every way. My kids love her and she is always at the top of her game with up to date medical care. All of my friends take their kids to her as well. We all appreciate their late policies, as THAT is what keeps us from having to wait forever in the waiting room. They run on time more than any other doctors office I've experienced...and that's not easy with screaming, sick kids and parents running late all the time! You won't find a better doctor or a better office.

I have had countless issues with this Doctor. My son was 7 weeks old and had a very high fever and I had to beg for an appointment for him to be seen. They finally squeezed me in saying they "did me a service" by getting me in. Finally after ALWAYS being told I was being done a service for being "squeezed in" for my children's sick visits, I have had enough! Oh and don't be late...even after 10 min they will cancel your appointment and barrade you for being late...even with sick kids in tow and one with puke all down their shirt. They are a small practice and now I know why, their attitudes are too big for their britches. And another kicker is the Physicians Assistant incorrectly treated my child and led to him pucking after every medication, making him sicker than he was before. Looking back I should have left MONTHS ago.

I was a patient of Dr Ann Weaver for 15 years, and she has since retired and Dr Wheelock has taken over her practice. I am visiting my parents and my eight month old son has gotten a cold. I called their office trying to make an appointment, thinking that as I myself was a former patient they might take my child. The woman on the phone was rude and unhelpful, and turned us away saying they don't see "one time patients" and told me to take him to urgent care. Don't take your child to these people, take them to someone who cares.
