I have been to many chiropractors since junior high when I started skiing and most have helped me a lot. I went to Discover Chiropractic when I started to have hand numbness and pain in both hands and my usual back pain. The experience was different than any other chiropractor I had been to. The exam and explanation was more in depth than I had experienced in the past. When Dr. Radspinner went over my exam results he explained why I was having the problems in great detail. He outlined what needed to be done in the office and at home so my problem doesn?t keep coming back. The adjustments were more gentle than I was used to. I wasn?t sure about that at first, but the results were awesome. My hand pain and numbness is gone and my back has not bothered me for a long time. Normally I have a lot of times a year that my back takes me out. Since I have been seeing Dr. Radspinner my back has not gone out on me.

Pros: Results, quality care, great location with good parking

Cons: Sometimes the office is very busy.

I had extreme pain under my left shoulder blade, which extended to my neck. Went to Dr. R, my first chiropractic visit. First day went in, they did seemingly typical measurements. Had to come back the next day to get the results of my x-ray. Came on time, but had to wait 20 min, along with two others. We were all directed into a room where Dr. R spent at least 30 min. on his "sales pitch". Spending wasteful time explaining how he got into the practice, and showing before-after cases (this was what made it seem like a sales pitch, I should have been wary). The whole time he's talking the other two first time customers sat uncomfortably, and obviously in pain from their back issues. This whole talk seemed pointless, especially since he already explained much of this the first visit.

The other two were directed into separate rooms, where he talked to them about their conditions, which I could hear every word. I had to wait at least 25 more minutes until he showed me my own room. I was nervous to see my x-ray. When he showed it to me he did so with little emotion. He said I had a curve in my lower back, and that my neck was curved the opposite way it should have been. Told me this was highly serious, when I asked for more information about the condition, he didn't have any answers. Spent five minutes telling me this, and went in to a payment plan for me to start coming three times a week, it was that serious. I got a second opinion. Apparently my condition is not serious, and my new chiropractic told me to be wary of any doctor pressuring me into intensive treatment for this kind of condition. I am happy that I did not waste any more money on Dr. R. Shame on him. Shame, shame, shame!
