Hi, my name is Gigi and I am in the United States Navy and have been having extreme lower back pain for about 2 years now, after being deployed to Haiti. Within these two years I have seen over 8 doctors, all suspecting something different and pushing me in every direction. Basically telling me that I would just have to deal with the pain. Nothing had worked and i started to lose hope, until I found Dr. Latimer. Not only did Latimer take me and my symptoms seriously but he actually listened. He showed extreme interest in finding ways to make me better. He pushed me to believe that I will get better after being told I will have to live with this back pain forever by other doctors, which was bull. He worked with me through the pain like we were a team, tackling this together. He taught me different ways to improve my back at home and the work environment. No longer was I over whelmed because I didn't feel like I was alone on this. Dr. Latimer is currently working at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia, and I recommend him to anyone who has been looking for a physical therapist for lower back pain. He is extremely knowledgeable, and has an amazing positive attitude. He is confident in his work and the spine. He has high goals in doing what other doctors couldn't... making you better! Don't stop at doctor #1, I've seen several. You know your own body and when something is not right. Continue searching until you are satisfied because in the end the only person who will suffer is you. Many will tell you your fine or there is nothing that can be done, they are just lying to you because they are not confident enough to tell you that they don't know what is wrong. And most importantly, don't give up! I only wish there were more doctors out there like Dr. Latimer. Check out superseniorblogs.com and click spinal issues, he wrote some great advice that might help get you started! Good luck!
