I am finishing up my Invisalign with Dr. Goodman, and I am thrilled with the results. I'm surprised to read anything but rave reviews. The staff are expert, friendly, and they are always prompt, which means a lot to this busy New Yorker. I am so happy with my results so far! I highly recommend Dr. G and the entire staff. If you are doing Invisalign, definitely go with Dr. G.

Cons: A bit of a walk from the subway, but beautiful office

I went for a consultation and I went because I read he was the locl president of the ADA. I should not have had braces on with my particular condition. Yet he told me it was an easy case and I'd be through in 10 months. It was untrue. Then he sent me to an awful dentist Zachary Papadakis and another dentist who gave me wrong advice. They wanted to put ceramic caps on the back molars and they would break. It seems everyone tried to make money off of me. However, Dr. Goodman told me the wrong information about orthodontics, and my teeth would be sticking straight out if I did what he said. Move on.

I can recommend Dr.Goodman as the best orthodontist in New York.
Doctor is very experienced and knowledgeable with the latest technology
and the office is equipped with modern equipment.
Very honest and trusted. Prices are little high end.

Looking for invisalign, I'd seen several doctors who gave me conflicting opinions. A dentist that I trusted referred me to Dr. Goodman's office. His office is clean and comfortable. The staff are warm and helpful. Dr. Goodman made me feel I could trust him, told me honestly that invisalign was not the best option for me, was able to get me a discount for an oral surgeon when I needed a couple teeth pulled first and generally made the whole process painless (as painless as braces can be).

Over my many visits, I was always seen on time and was sometimes sqeezed into slots when my schedule changed. I noticed quick progress and was able to get my braces off a full 4 months ahead of schedule.

I wasn't the easiest patient to work with. A Virgo, I was always inspecting my teeth and e-mailing whenever I thought certain teeth weren't moving the way they should. I always ALWAYS got speedy and patient responses to my concerns and was always welcome to stop on in if I thought spaces were opening up where I didn't want them. So I consider myself a kind of annoying patient but they always handled it gracefully.

I had other orthos quote me prices that were cheaper than those at Dr. Goodman's office but I don't regret the decision to spend a bit more. I trusted completely Dr. Goodman and his staff and my teeth look fantastic. Like my LASIK surgery, I thought this wasn't the occasion to be cheap about the services. Also, the payment plan that he offered at the time I started services was excellent. No hidden costs, no interest, no extra fees or loans.

My only complaint (and it is a minor one) is that when they tell you that a retainer is provided free when your braces are taken off, it was not properly explained to me that I would need to buy several extra sets at $250 each or to spend $600 on a sort of "retainer insurance policy." Knowing how careful I am generally, I'd assumed the one set they gave me would last, when in fact, it wears out over time.

I went to see him a few weeks ago because the price the office gave me was reasonable. However, his assistant explained the various methods of invisalign to me, because since I'm an adult at work, I wanted invisalign. I don't recall her name, but she said he did her teeth and quite frankly, they looked pretty bad. Her teeth were sticking out on top, so I wasn't impressed. I wonder if the before and afters on his site are really his. After seeing his work, I won't be going back.
