.

I went with my brother to see Dr. Bijari, whom he had seen a few times prior to this. He was having a follow up due to some tests and lab work he had done. We were informed that Dr. Bijari was not there yet when we arrived for the appointment. A little over 30 inutes later, the doctor finally arrived. We were brought right into her office. That was the first time I had been to this doctor, and never once did she introduce herself or ask who I was. She said that all the lab work was normal but she wanted more tests done. My brother began to ask questions and give his input, but was cut off with what she wanted to do. We were then taken to the scheduler to make another test set date, then the doctor left us to go grab another patient. I then pointed out to the scheduler that we waited a half an hour for this doctor just to be rushed through an appointment. The doctor gave us 5 minutes of her time, and that is no exaggeration! It is understandable that people will be late, but that is no reason for the patient's care to suffer! To have a doctor be rude and not be able to explain more in depth when questions were asked is appalling. Specialists cost alot of money, as does any healthcare professional, so to be charged for a full visit that lasted 5 minutes when a simple phone call would have been free is upsetting. Patients look to doctors for answers and options, but need to be treated like patients not an inconvienence. I had such an awful experience, we have cancelled all further appointments with this doctor and had all medical charting faxed elsewhere. How are patients in need of care supposed to trust the "expertise" of a doctor who only gives you 5 minutes to diagnose?!
