My first experience with Affordable Denture should have sent me running, but I really thought I was doing the right thing for my health and well being. I WAS WRONG! My first visit was a " consultation". Normally this would mean you sit with the provider and discuss your treatment options, but here it means they take an X-Ray, confirm which "package" you've decided on, and tell you to come back in the morning. NO APPOINTMENTS. The next morning I went in and waited for 40 min or so to be seen. The doctor NEVER discussed what was being done, never asked why I was doing it, and never gave any alternatives. She said "I see you chose the "Premium Package", let's get started". After what seemed like an eternity of excruciating pain, I was done. 26 teeth removed. At least 1/2 of them healthy enough to stay in. Dr. Sako said I had 1 wisdom tooth that may need to come out later (it did) and that it was on the upper right. (It was on the left). Later paperwork revealed that it was documented as being on the lower left. I was left bloody and crying at the sight of so many GOOD teeth. I left the office about 20-30 min. later with my "new" teeth. That FIRST (temporary) set was lined and RElined, along with at least 3 different adjustments. This was the same with the SECOND set. Also temporary. Eventually I opted to heal minus the teeth. Having waited the appropriate amount of time, (and actually giving it about 5 extra weeks due to the wisdom tooth being removed) I went back for my permanent set. That was May 17 2013. This set has also been adjusted in excess of 3 times and could not be made to fit. I went today (7/3/13) in hopes of being able to start over. The result was that I could have the set "lined" or I could be "refunded out". I took the refund, which is ONLY for the cost of the permanent set. 800$ from a total of 3245$.
This company is like a puppy mill for teeth. They are "affordable" but you get what you pay for, both in quality and care. I wouldn't recommend them to someone I DON'T like, much less family or a friend.

I visited this clinic in Jan '09 for extractions and a full upper denture. Purchased the "premium package" deal. From the beginning the staff was cold, indifferent to concerns, even rude at times. During the imprint, I asked to lean forward while it sat up because I have had other dentists have me do this to avoid the gag reflex and it worked. She allowed me to, walked out, walked back in and SHOOK IT AT ME and said, "we tried it your way, now we do it my way". Even with all that, things went fairly well until I was given my immediate denture. It was huge, uncomfortable, and difficult for me to keep in my mouth. When I bit down, the bite didn't feel right and it was so far back in my mouth that I couldn't stand it. Dr. Sako lost patience with me and layed the denture down, told me to leave it there until she came back and walked out of the room. After sitting there for a while upset and crying, someone else came in and said ok, we need to do this and stuck it in my mouth. Still didn't feel right, too big, and she left. I sat there and tried to put it in several times and to try and keep it in and got the mirror and looked at it and really became upset. Now another girl came in trying to tell me that I just had to work through the gag reflex. I told her to look at it, these teeth are much wider than my lower teeth. Have you seen the commercial with the old man and woman who get up and put each other's dentures in their mouths. Remember how huge his were in her mouth compared to her bottom teeth? That's how this looked on me. They thought it was just a gag reflex and told me to just get used to it. But I left because they were "done with me" and I thought maybe I could try at home to get used to it. But although I tried several times I couldn't get it to work. I went to see my mom and brother that night and they both freaked out and said no, that it needed to be remade, there's no way that's right. My lower teeth are 1 1/2" side-to-side, the upper denture they made me is 2 1/2" side-to- side! There was no point in even trying to get used to it because it made me look ridiculous.

Due to the attitudes I received, I called their 800 number the next morning to see what options I may have to resolve the problem if they were uncooperative and I went back to the clinic and arrived just before 9am to be sure there was time to have one re-made after I met with her and explained what was wrong. I figured if it looked right then I would have the weekend to get used to having it in my mouth before work on Monday. Dr. Sako REFUSED to see me. The receptionist said they would see me at 10 for an adjustment. I told her that I thought it needed to be remade and didn't want to miss that window of time because I had to have teeth to go to work Monday. The receptionist advised me that I wouldn't be getting a new one made that it had been decided yesterday. That was the first that I heard that. I asked again, can't she just see me for a minute so I can show her what is wrong and again she REFUSED. They offered to make my permenant denture and I said no, if we can't get this one right why would I want a permenant one. So I was brought into the back and an assistant asked for the denture and I gave it to her, she started to walk out with it and asked if she wanted to know what was wrong and she said that it didn't matter what was wrong with it, that they were going to refund and release me. Dr. Sako and her staff were completely unwilling to work with me to find a solution, wouldn't even hear my complaint. They left me on a Friday (most other dentists are closed on Friday) with no teeth at all.

Now I am left unable to eat over the weekend and will miss more work while finding another dentist to complete the job.

Unwillingness to resolve problem totally unacceptable. They mass produce, assembly line fashion, cookie cutter dentures. If you don't fit in that mold, you're out of luck.
