I went to Dr. Ahmadian for a second opinion after being told elsewhere that I needed $6000 worth of dental work. He was understanding of the fact that I don't have insurance, and did only what was strictly necessary - for less than $100! That was years ago, and I've been going to him ever since, very happily. I love the atmosphere at his office, and the fact that everyone who works there seems to genuinely enjoy their work.

It's very frightening to read negative comments about one of the finest dentists in Austin.Dr. Ahmadian and his awesome team have been helping me for 5 years. I do not even recognise the profiles someone has negatively created. The current clinic (11814 Jollyville) is beautiful and very calming, as is the entire staff, My dental history is 60 years long. I believe that his team is the best....and I've lost my fear of dentists! Dr Ahmadian is a "denture artist" too. My friends don't even know what a" fake" I am.

STAY AWAY!!! I went to Dr. Ahmad Ahmadian because he was covered by my insurance provider - huge mistake!! I have gotten a handful of fillings in my life, including two from 15 years ago and I have never had problems with any of them. The filling I got at Ahmadian's office, however, recently fell out after only 10 months! When I called, they told me that they wouldn't replace it without 2 new appointments at full cost (though I'm not sure I would go back even if it was free). At my previous appointment, Dr. Ahmadian was very rude and impatient. To my surprise, he did my cleaning, instead of one of his assistants, but soon after he started, I had to ask him to stop because it was too painful. The fact that he couldn't do a simple cleaning didn't inspire much confidence and even though I asked him to not do it, I was charged for it anyway. I have always been lucky in having great dentists before this experience - unfortunately I ended up with one of the worst in town. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
To be honest, there was one pro - his schedule was very open, but I suppose that's mostly a factor of having no one want to go to your office.

Pros: None

Cons: Worst Dentist I Have Ever Been To

.

I have been appalled by the "customer service" that I have received at this dentist over the past 8 months. I have been treated very rudely, overcharged and now I will never return.

The receptionist is clearly hates life and people-- she is brash, mean, demanding and to top it all off is terrible at the tasks that make a dental receptionist important (e.g., answering the phone, being cordial, getting patients seen, scheduling appointments, confirming appointments). For example, they have never called me before a scheduled appointment to confirm or remind me as EVERY other doctor in the world does.

Further, when I asked if they could remind me of my cleaning that was 6 mos away, she said that they did not send reminder postcards or call and that it was my responsibility to remember. Since I have never missed an appointment, I shugged this off as a bad policy since I knew I could set up an email reminder on my computer and make it in. Well, today was the day of the appointment and I showed up on time to find the lights out and door locked at 9am!! Unbelievable! Their business hours as noted on the door say 8am-1pm on Fridays, and there were no other notes indicating vacations or anything like that. I never received a reminder call, which was totally expected (unfortunately), but I never thought that I would be stood up by the dentist!! This is the most unprofessional dentist/dental office I have ever been to, and I will never return. Also, when they did see me for an appointment 6 months ago, they charged me for a cleaning that my insurance covered, stating that they had to do extra work since it had been over a year since I had been to a dentist-- so I gave them a check for $50+ and they charged my insurance company for the cleaning as well... How long was I in the dentist's chair for this "deeper cleaning"??? 15 minutes. That's right!

The moral of the story: Save yourself pain and agony and go someplace else. Anywhere would be better.
