I had several visits with Dr. Roberts in the office prior to my delivery. I found her caring, knowledgeable and always willing to take time to answer all my questions. She happened to be on call when I went into labor and I was thrilled. She was calm and reassuring throughout my labor and helped me deliver our beautiful daughter. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to any friends or family and have already referred my sister to her.

My husband and I went for my 4 month check up during my pregnancy. We were seeing Dr. Roberts that day and had to wait over 45 minutes for her once we were sitting in the exam room. When she came in she said she was sorry for making us wait but she took an extra long lunch break. My husband and I were a little annoyed that she took the attitude that her time was more valuable than ours. When I went into labor at 10 pm another doctor in this practice was on call. The other doctor was there through the entire night while I was in labor. The doctors had switched shifts at 7:30 am. I was the only one in L&D that was ready to push at that time. They told me that they were switching shifts and the new doctor would be right in to introduce herself. It took Dr. Roberts until 8:45 to come in and introduce herself. When she did she had not remembered meeting us and my husband reminded her of our visit. At that point the nurse then had me start pushing. I pushed for an hour and the nurse paged Dr. Roberts several times to get her in the delivery room because the baby was coming out. The nurse finally had to send someone out to bring Dr. Roberts in the room. When she finally got in there she took her time getting the throw away scrubs on. The nurse had to stop my daughter from coming out twice because Dr. Roberts was not ready. I was very unhappy with the care that I recieved from her.

I am hoping that this is not the experience that everyone else has had with her, but I would definitely NOT recommend her to anyone I know. The other doctors in the Abington OB/GYN Associates practice were all fantastic through my whole pregnancy. Do not let the one doctor deter you from the practice. She does know what she is doing but her bedside manor is awful.
