I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Allen. She is wonderful!! We love her and her staff. She is almost always on time, especially for morning appts. Some delays were experienced in the afternoon appts, but hey she is also delivering babies! She is thorough, spends all the time you need answering questions. We had our first baby in August of this year and she was great. I can't imagine going to anyone else.

A staff can make or break a medical office .. A Doctor can be a great Doctor but is he or she has a bad staff the office will not stand long ...This office has over 30.000 patients and if you have that many you need a run a good office .. These Doctors are not good business women ...The AG has filed a lawsuit against them ..

Dr. Coulter-Smith is AMAZING!!! She has delivered all 3 of my childern. She was kind and patient with all of my questions. She made sure I felt comfertable. She even followed up with me to make sure me and my childern were ok after birth. I moved here from KS. and could not of found a better OB/GYN. The office staff has been unprofessional and is not easy to work with; however the doctors there are the best.

Love Dr. Allen. Office staff lacks professionialism. They seem too young and inexperienced. Eating, chatting, on computer (facebook, etc) while processing patients. Wait was excessive and I was very nervous anyway because I was awaiting having a biopsy so the hour wait didn't help.

I would recomend Dr. Allen to anyone who asks me, she is an amazing doctor. I have been going to Dr. Allen for several years and she delievered my first child. Dr. Allen always listens to you, is able to answer all of my questions and really cares for me as her patient and it shows in her practice. I really like that I was able to feel close to her and not be afraid to voice my concerns. I LOVE her and will continue to see her for all of my OB/GYN needs. The front staff on the other hand has some that are good and others that are quite rude. They def need to re-evaluate their staff and make the necessary changes. The front desk is the first thing people deal with and the last thing we see before going home.

Ive been to Dr. Allen since I was 13. She was just out of medical school when I first became her patient. She delivered my first baby in May 2009. I LOVE HER! I think she is a wonderful OBGYN and I would never have another baby with any anyone else. She was very clear about everything, and she always spent extra time in the room if I needed it. I never felt rushed, and I was always well informed.

The front office staff can be rude sometimes, and the wait times can be a little long.

Overall the nursing staff is always very friendly, and her MA is awesome!

I would and do recommend Dr. Allen all the time.

I really love Dr Allen. She is patient, she listens to me, she thoroughly explains everything. Most of all I TRUST HER.
The FRONT office staff I could do without. I think they are disorganized and perhaps a little immature. I have had an appointment cancelled 20 minutes after arriving (my appointment was not with a Dr) and I also arrived one morning to discover they had failed to record an appointment that I made. The girl at the front desk just sat there and said "what do you want me to do, I don't have you on the schedule?" First of all they called me to schedule the appointment! What happened to remembering to write it down? Second, if you make a mistake appologize and then take steps to remedy the situation instead of asking the customer for a solution. After 10 minutes of standing my ground someone else in the office realized I was not going away & came up with a solution we could all live with. It whould have been handled that way in the first place! Your front office is the image the rest of us will take away. Please make it work!

Dr. Allen is a great surgeon and physician. The front office staff currently in place at the practice exhibits a less than desirable work ethic. I was not contacted when Dr. Allen was out sick and could not keep my appointment. I drove to the office for a post-op appointment that involved needing to see the physician. I re-scheduled my appointment after experiencing the front office staff's rudeness and immature attitude of "whatever... la tee da... you're not important." The front office staff's appointment scheduling, re-scheduling and mis-information has been an ongoing theme of my care.

Dr. Allen is a wonderful doctor, however please be aware the front office staff's lack of attention to detail and overall demeanor needs to be considered before treatment, procedures, or appointments. The front office staff competency has been an ongoing concern since I was referred to Dr. Allen by a Baylor ER physician. The front office staff experience repeatedly appears to outweigh benefits of the medical care. The doctors may wish to consider an office manager to train, coordinate and oversee the front office staff.

I like the doctor that I have. Dr. Allen she is wonderful and her assistant is great as well I had to have a procedure and they talked me thru everything and let me know when she was about to do something so I could prepare myself. The only complaint I have is the office is way too COLD. And the wait could be a less long but I love my Dr. Dr. Allen is wonderful.

In my opinion this place doesn't even deserve 1 star.
I have to say I was very fond of Dr. Walters. However, her support staff leaves much to be desired. My husband and I had fertility testing done and much to my surprise when the results came back her nurse was unable to tell me what the results meant. When I asked to speak to Dr. Walters or anyone who could explain the results I was told that she does not return calls from patients. So how do you get your questions answered? The office's answer is to make an appointment in a month and pay your co-pay, just to have the results explained to you because the testing didn't worry you enough.
Since she referred me to Dr. Pinto (who is amazing If you are having any trouble concieving go to him. I wish he could deliver my baby.) After I got preganant, I decided to give her one more shot and go back to Dr. Walters for my prenatal care. When I called to make and appontment, the woman who answered the phone was young and very, very rude. When I was trying to set up an appointment she didn't even ask my name. I gave her my information and she put me on hold for 6 and 1/2 minutes! That is ridiculous!! When she came back she told me the next appointment date (a month from now) then asked if I had any procedures done with Dr. Pinto. She could not have been more judgmental. Anyone who has dealt with infertility knows how sensitive the subject is, how delicately it should be handled, and how you appreciate not being judged especially by the office staff you intend to see for the next 9 months. I asked her about when the sonogram would be done and she said well since you didn't have IVF it will be at 20 weeks. Which would be 10 weeks since my last sonogram. That seems like way too long without checking how the baby is developing. I then told her I would discuss the date with my husband and call back. She snapped at me (the patient) and when I reiterated that I would call back she hung up on me. I almost find it disheartening to say that Dr. Walters is great, but she is hindered by her staff that is rude, insensitive, and certainly has no idea what customer service is. But I guess that's the price you pay when your doctor won't speak to her patients over the phone.
Dr. Angelo Mendez is in the Baylor Grapevine hospital. He is wonderful! If you find yourself without insurance they will work with you and get you on a payment plan. I know this place would never dream of helping its patients like that.

While there is some concern about the wait time which is way too long, the staff does not bother me.My doctor is Dr Allen and she is great. I have been going to her for over 3 years and she has always had a nice manner. Always very informative and caring. I did experience infertility issues and she tried for 3 months and then sent me to a specialist. I did get pregnant but, unfortunately went into preterm labor due to an incompetent cervix (no way they could have known this). Dr. Allen was very sensitive to us and even sent flowers from the Staff to us after our loss. She explained everything in detail that would happen during the birth. I am now pregnant again and we went in with 10 questions before our appointment was over she had answered 8 of the 10 without us asking. The staff has changed since I was in last year but that happens at many doctors offices.

Aug. 2007. I will not return. To Dr. Allen's credit, she is a fine doctor and I've been very pleased with her. However, the wait times, both in the lobby and in the exam room, are unacceptable and the front office staff aren't very friendly. On my last visit I waited just under 2 hours and never made it past the nurse. I finally asked to have my copay returned (which was met with sneers and a giggle by the front office staff) and walked out. The prior 2 visits, I waited in excess of 1 and 1.5 hours.
3 strikes you're out.

I love the care that my Dr. has provided; I have had two pregnancy complications in the past 5 years and really feel comfortable with the quality care and concern by Dr. Walters. She is very sweet, professional, yet will take the time to talk to you about your concerns and explain what is going on or why a certain test needs to be done. I have also had good luck seeing Dr. Allen, but wasn??t impressed with the bedside manner of Dr. Coulter-Smith. I haven??t seen the other doctors in the practice. My OB/GYN is awesome I just wish the other office staff would learn to be more friendly, especially the people who run the front desk.

On the negative side, the wait is very lengthy and it is hard to book appointments - even OB appointments one month out. I am constantly told to book appointments with their nurse practitioners, but I prefer to see the doctor who will actually be delivering my child. The front desk staff has a very high turnover and it appears that new people are always being trained. Once I actually saw a person playing games on the computer ?? very unprofessional. The doctor??s nurses aren??t the best, nor that knowledgeable. I have never been able to get my doctor to call me back, even when I have requested it. All complications/phone messages must go through the nurse and if you want to speak to the doctor personally you have to book an appointment.

If the staff were nicer to their patients and the wait not so long (I??ve waited up to an hour and a half before) I would definitely continue with this practice. There are just too many negatives to put up with in order to see a great doctor.

I have been going to Women's Integrated Health for several years now. I was always happy with the care until I miscarried with my first pregnancy. I then realized that there is little compassion in the office. The practice is large and lacks the personal touch especially when it comes to OB. I was very disappointed with the lack of concern/help the staff offered when it was really needed. I am in turn changing doctors in hopes of finding a doctor who might actually care about my well being. I don't recommend them for anyone who is looking for a compassionate/friendly staff during a pregnancy!

I had an ectopic pregnancy - which I didn't know until my tube was about to rupture. I had symptoms and had called Dr Coulter-Smith's office and was given the cold shoulder when I asked if these symptoms were normal. They wouldn't even let me book an appointment until I was 10 weeks. Well, at 8 weeks I had emergency surgery to save my tube. So had I not taken the reins and called another doctor I am quite certain I would have lost the tube.

Don't ever expect to talk to anyone except a nurse either. I specifically called on different days and left a message about a problem that I didn't feel the nurse was addressing. I FINALLY received a call after 4 days and was treated like I was bothering her.

I changed doctors IMMEDIATELY.

LONG WAITS - CALLOUS STAFF!

As mentioned in the other reviews, I have experienced various ups and downs with Women's Integrated Healthcare.

Generally speaking, the staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable at all times. The check-in and check-out processes are fairly quick.

On the downside, the waits are VERY long at times ? much more than they probably should be. Also, they seem to be very quick to recommend drastic measures, such as surgery, for issues that may be more easily corrected with prescription drugs or other methods.

On the plus side, their sonogram technician is the best I've been to. I've had three children (not with WIHC) and the sonograms were often uncomfortable and sometimes downright nightmare-ish.

WIHC also has some excellent services that they provide to their patients at no extra charge, such as call-in prescriptions for online ordering and a confidential call-back number strictly for messaging regarding test results, etc.

Overall, I think their service is good, but you do need to educate yourself on the alternatives to anything recommended. I think that goes for any health care provider ...

PROS: good sonogram tech
CONS: long waits

I was a patient of Dr. Coulter-Smith with my first baby. I was due on July 1st (on the July 4th holiday weekend). I was completely against induction unless it was medically necessary. I had made that fact clear to Dr. Coulter-Smith. When I was 33 weeks along, Dr. Coulter-Smith began telling me that she wanted to induce my delivery two weeks before my due date. I asked her why she would want to deliver my baby two weeks before she had reached her full gestational period. Dr. Coulter-Smith told me that it was because of my blood pressure. I have perfect blood pressure and was very concerned with the information she was giving me. I called back to the doctor's office later that day and requested my blood pressure readings from all of my appointments. They were perfect! I asked the nurse if my blood pressure was anything I needed to be concerned about. She said, "No" and added that my all of my blood pressure readings were exactly within the acceptable range. I asked the nurse if there was any indication in my records that I would need to have an induction. She said, "Absolutely not" and told me that everything with my pregnancy was normal. Dr. Coulter-Smith flat-out *** LIED *** to me because she wanted to schedule my delivery to fit her own schedule. DON'T EVER TRUST A DOCTOR WHO WILL LIE TO YOU! (Check the induction and C-Section rate for Women's Integrated HealthCare Obstetricians vs. other Obstetricians at Baylor Medical Center. They have the HIGHEST RATES). In addition, this office has extremely long waits in the waiting room and/or will put you in an examination room and leave you there forever waiting for a doctor. (My longest wait was 50 minutes!!!) Also, the lab worker who took my blood stuck me three times before she could manage to draw my blood. BAD! BAD! BAD! THE WORST MEDICAL CARE I'VE EVER HAD!!!

PROS: Nice Sonogram Operator
CONS: EVERYTHING! *** DOCTOR WHO LIES! *** Long Waits. Incompetent Lab Worker.

I have been going here for a couple of years for my general gynecologist appointments. I have been impressed at how comfortable everyone from the receptionist, the nurses, and the doctors make you feel when you are there. They are rarely running late on their appointments and can even try to get you in when they have a cancellation. I do like that they do bloodwork on the premises. You don't have to go to another place to get your blood work done.

PROS: Very professional staff
CONS: none

They are rarely running late on their appointments and can even try to get you in when they have a cancellation. I do like that they do bloodwork on the premises. You don't have to go to another place to get your blood work done.

PROS: Very professional staff
CONS: none

I used this office for my first pergnancy and i used Dr. Coulter Smith. She was great and amazing and her nurse Jessica is just as good. This place is now my regular obgyn and i love it they are good loving people and they are just so friendly and make you feel so welcome that it is nice. I love going here and hope to always be able to go to this place!

I have been a patient at this office for 3 years and always feel that the staff is helpful and friendly. I rarely have to wait very long for my appointments and I like that they have enough employee's to take care of everyone. They have a lab onsite if you need to have bloodwork, which saves you a second trip somewhere else. The doctor's and nurse's take the time to answer questions and any time I have left a message, the nurse has returned my call in a reasonable amount of time. **There specialty is OB/GYN.

Look no further than Dr Cope's practise, every single Dr in this practise is top class and will go above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of the best way possible.
I was seriously ill whilst pregnant with my last child and in the hospital enough that i saw all of the doctors at the practise at some point or another, whilst Dr Cope will always be my favorite given the choice i have no qualms about seeing any of the OB's there and know that all of them will give me exceptional care.

I honestly don't know if me or my baby would be here as well as we are today had it not been for the doc's at WIH.I can't recommend this practise highly enough.
