Dr Chen is simply the best urologist our family has encountered. We have a family history of prostate cancer, so we have seen a large handful of urologists in the last several decades. Our whole family agrees that Dr Chen is the kindest, warmest, most-skilled urologist we have had the good fortune to have as part of our lives. He feels like part of our family now.
I cannot disagree more forcefully with another review on this site that complained that some catheter was removed too soon and blames Dr Chen for actually having a life and daring to leave town.
Doctors are humans, too!
I recommend Dr Chen wholeheartedly to all of my friends and family who need urologic care.

This is a review on behalf of my father, who was treated for prostate enlargement.

To be fair, this may not be Dr. Chen's fault, but more the fault of Kaiser.

Here's what happened:
- my father had surgery, and over the next six weeks, had to visit the ER six times for follow-up, and multiple times to the Urology department
- Dr.Chen was not available for follow-up consultation, and nor were any of his physician colleagues. the only time available was with a physician's assistance or "several weeks out" for a phone consultation
- the issue is still not resolved
- due to stress and repeated issues, my mother is now also sick
- we understand the complications are due to instructions to remove the catheter more quickly than it should have been, which then also resulted in internal bleeding
