The office is terribly disorganized, and it seems as if no one communicates with each other. Just to get contact lenses, when I have had them before, took 5 visits to the office and 10 phone calls. Each visit required another appointment and another 2-3 weeks waiting, so that the whole process took 2 full months, and a fair amount of money. Their hours are also like old-style bank hours, so I had to take time out of work for each visit. The general attitude of the doctors and staff is that they are doing you a supreme favor by even being in Greenfield and deigning to give you an appointment.

In addition, they will only make out your contact prescription for one year, so that you must return for another appointment. This was after the doctor specifically stated that my eyesight had stopped changing. Note that they make a healthy profit from Lasik surgery, which they would eagerly sell you on.

Also, when I was attempting to extend my prescription at the end of the first year, it became apparent that the contacts I was wearing, which were purchased through them, did not in fact match the prescription they had on file. Great!

That said, the contacts are great and I can see out of them--considering they did get the OK in the follow-up appointment--and I've had other optometrists less competent in measuring my eyes.

But whatever. They don't seem to want your business or mine.
