As a patient of Dr Angelo's, every pharmacy I have ever used with a prescription from him has rolled their eyes and/or explained that he is a pharmacists' nightmare. According to many of these pharmacists, he has a habit of prescribing outside of the maximum dosages & prescribing meds or supplies that do not exist. This also happened to me, & his solution was to instruct the pharmacist to send me to a different pharmacy, although this Rx would not be found anywhere else either.

I have been with Dr. Angelo since he was with Landmark. I wouldn't trade him for the world. He discovered an issue with my thyroid that had been overlooked for years. He also sent me for an MRI when I described ongoing neck pain and because of his thoroughness and the result of the MRI he referred me to an excellent neurosurgeon for 2 very different but fairly serious issues I was dealing with. As to his accent - I have never had an issue understanding anything Dr. Angelo says - I have found him not only to be professional but personable and funny. I have recommended him to several friends and have even thought of taking my 85 yr old mother to him.

I thought I give Dr. Angelo a try when I got sick. He is hard to understand with his accent. I felt he didn't spend the proper time to fiquire out my sickness. Made me suffer another week. Ok, I thought honest mistake. But, I was disappointed with the level of care. I fiquire new Doctor and maybe it was a off day. Went again for another issue and there was a error with the billing, the office just refer you to someone else, one big run around. Office staff ,also not the best and does not return calls. I went and found another Doctor in the area , no problems now.

I just read the latest review for Dr. Angelo and I am shocked. Dr. Angelo has been treating me and my family for 5 years, myself, husband, 2 daughters, son, father, mother, 2 sisters and their families. His office staff is very professional and he is the most caring, compassionate doctor I have ever met. As for the office It has never been dirty on my visits. It seems that he has two complaints that were from another doctors patients that were transferred from an office who had a physicians assistant care for his patients and this particular doctor was a pain management doctor. I have a hard time believing that Dr. Angelo wouldn't review medication, he always has his patients bring in a updated medication list or his assistant will review medications with us, there has been a sign in his office stating that for as long as I can remember and we are reminded when they call to confirm our appointments the night prior. As for the other person about the shots, who would talk to a receptionist about her medication and not the assistant or nurse or even the doctors office that had her serum to see where it is and why the new office doesn't have it . In my profession is my understanding that you must pick up medication from an office, school, etc. or it would be disposed of not transferred or given to anyone other than who it was written for. I had a very serious condition and saw many doctors. After meeting Dr. Angelo at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, I refuse to see any other doctor. He always makes time for his patients. He has stayed late in the past to see me and my family. I am a paralegal and can honestly tell you not to believe everything you hear especially if you are only hearing one side of the story. I have talked with other patients while in his office and all of them adore him and his staff . I can't say anything bad about this office. His staff is always friendly and willing to help in any way. If you are considering a new doctor and Dr. Angelo is on your list call and speak with his staff. I can assure you that you would be in good hands and good health.

I was a former patient at Drs. Tannenbaum & Tyler's office. I am leaving the country in two weeks to go on my honeymoon and I wanted to see if I could schedule an appointment to get an allergy injection. I have been getting injections on a regular basis for the past 7 years, and recently I have tried to only go when it is absolutely neccesary for me to get one. I thought it would be a good time to get an injection because I don't want anything to happen while I am away and enjoying my honeymoon. My last injection was in April of this year. I called Dr. Angelo's office and spoke with the receptionist. I asked her if my files were transferred over along with my serum and she said that my files were there but my serum was not, and that she would have to call and find out what my previous doctor did with my serum. Later, she called and left a message on my house phone saying that my serum had been thrown away because it had expired...in 2008! Immediately I became frustrated and annoying because this cannot be true if I just received an injection this past April. I called the next day and spoke with the same receptionist and she told me again that my serum was disgarded because it had expired last year. I then informed her that I received injections this past April, so either someone is lying here, or I had expired serum injected into me. She didn't know what to say and began making up a story about how there were two viles and they must have looked at the expired one when giving me this information. I reminded her that I am leaving the country in less than two weeks and I want to find out what I need to do in order to get this taken care of before then. She told me she would look into it, and call me sometime NEXT WEEK. After all of this nonsense, I have made an appointment with my allergist himself, they are seeing me immediately. Now I'm just sitting back and waiting for this "receptionist" to call me back at her convenience, and I'm wondering if this is going to be before or after they 4 hour lunch break/meeting that they had the first time I tried to contact my "new doctor."

I was a former patient of Dr. Tannenbaum and Tyler. The practice has closed recently and my files had transferred to Dr. Angelo in Bel Air, I recieved a letter in the mail stating so... Anyway, I had an emergency one day and called to see if I could sched an appt. The receptionist was polite and scheduled me same day in-between patients. Everything was fine until I met Dr. Angelo. While he was nice enough, he did not check my files or review my history before or while meeting me. He talked and moved very fast, as if he were a busy ER doctor. He has an accent and I could hardly understand him and I had to keep asking him to repeat himself, not his fault I know but when it comes to my health, I'd like to know what a doctor is telling me. Anyway, the doctor had to make an incision into my skin, and while this was happening, he was asking the nurse to retrieve other instruments, etc. She left the room with her gloves on and came back and never changed them. I have a history of staph infections, so this infuriated me. She touched the gauze that was used to clean me up. When the procedure was over I was asked to go to Dr. Angelo's office. It was messy and unprofessional. While he was writing me prescriptions I asked if any of them would interact with the blood thinner that I was on taking (I always double check) and he said, 'I didn't know you were on blood thinner. I guess that's why you bled so much...' So he was writing me scripts without knowing that I was on Warfarin. Very very dangerous! I also asked him if it was really neccessary to be on anti-biotics, because I had read that if you have recurrant staph infections, the more antibiotics you take, the more the infection is likely to turn into MRSA. I was just curious to see what a doctor had to say about this, but he became furious. He'd said 'Why would you ask me that? I saw an infection, Why would you ask me that?' I was so taken aback that I just did not say anything. While I was in the office with him a nurse/receptionist came into our room, stated a patients name and said what kind of meds she was taking and asked the doc a question about it. HELLO?! What about privacy practices?

Long story short, this is a terribly unprofessional, dirty office. Dr. Angelo may be an ok doc somewhere in there, but there are better doctors out there, and I am determined to find one.

As the other reviews said Dr Angelo does has a sense of humor but it made me feel more comfortable versus when it could have easily made me feel less comfortable seeing as he was doing a hair removal procedure on my bikini line (very private area!) I would also use him as my regular internal doctor after seeing him for a hair removal procedure.

Very competent. Great bedside manner. I've been with him for about 8 years, I guess. And so has my husband. He's funny, but very professional. And thorough! His staff (Dawn and Rona) are great!

My experience with Dr Angelo was expecially special. At 45 my life seems to be changing rapidly. After retiring from the military, all those things we did before 9 than most people have done all day has finally caught up with me, with in addition to female issues starting to get the best of me.
Doctor Angelo took the time to listen to me. I actually told him that it was very important for him to listen and understand, because I surely did not understand.
I feel comfortable with him and looking towards the different medicines
we will be trying to help me feel better and more functionally.

Dr. Angelo was formerly with Landmark Medical Group, but he recently opened his own offices. He is genuinely compassionate, caring, takes his time, remembers his previous conversations with you, and is very good at diagnosing and treating conditions. I have especially found his treatment of asthma even better than that of my allergist.

His staff is great, and he is fairly easy to get in to see. He is a bit impatient with listening, but he does listen, and is really up to date on the latest medications and techniques, as well as what will be available in the next year. I'm in the medical field, and I know few doctors who are so in touch with their patients and their field.
