Recently, in a terrible accident, I was hit and terribly injured. Dr. Sikand, MD, was extremely caring and kind. She received a call about this and responded immediately. She was at the hospital in the critical care ward for hours. She checked on all my injuries with all the physicians involved in my care. She is one of the best doctors I have met in my life. Her care helped me then and still does now. I am certainly sure if doctor Sikand could have been in the immediately surgical procedure, my partner would have survived.

Dr. Sikand, MD, is well known by the Chief of the OB Department at Johns Hopkins Hospital. In fact, she has performed some extremely difficult surgical procedures in his presence. Quite often patients are recommended to the hospital if they feel they need the big name. Sometimes it helps the patient. Regardless the best outcome of the fetus and well being of the mother is very important. I hope and pray for all who visit Dr. Sikand. She is indeed one of the best doctors in the Washington, DC area.

This doctor is worst. Dont go to her. Irresponsible about thier duty and suck your money. Did not file claim to the insurance. got rejected. adamantly they say that they wont resubmit the claim.
I visited first when I was two months pregnant. I had thyroid related problem. She ordered blood test to check the medication dosage. The medication dose was supposed to change, but nobody called from her office. On the next visit I came to know that I need to increase the levothyroxine from 100mg to 137 mg/day. She never said sorry for the irresponsibility of her office.
My age was 34+ that time and I asked her about doing test to check my baby's is genetically normal. She told you dont need. Later I moved my treatment to Johns Hopkins. at around 21 st week of my pregnancy. They told that I am at a high risk age, I should have done amniocentesis kind of test. but it could be done only before 20th week of pregnancy. I was so shocked. I was not in a situation to take any legal action against her. She is professionally nothing but a worhless.

During my pregnancy, I had to change my job as well as the insurance company. I requested her office to hold the claim for few weeks and as soon as the insurance company will have my paper works ready with them, they can send it. But they didn't. Claim was rejected. They refused to re-submit the claim, and I had to pay them. Then I had to place the claim to the insurance company. What I want to tell you that they are professionally incompetent and behavior is also very bad, They wouldnt help you what they could have done without spending a single penny.

Beware of this doctor

I've been going to Dr. Sikand for a couple years now, and I've found her to err on the side of caution--which I like. For example, when she felt a cyst on my ovary, she immediately did a blood test and scheduled an ultrasound, even though it was in all likelihood not a big deal. And during my first appointment, she interviewed me in her office about my family's health history. I'm happy with her.
