Several friends warned us repeatedly not to trust Dr. Quigley, and now we know why. It's my opinion that Dr. Quigley should not be practicing medicine. I saw her as a specialist during 2000-03, during a period when she was simultaneously addicted to opiates (pain killers like vicodin and oxycontin) and taking up to 15 - 20 pills a day. (This information is publicly available via a letter of admonition issued by the medical board.) Though she self-reported to a withdrawal program, she allowed her addiction to interfere with patient treatment, and never explained or apologized for her vast negligence during that period.During this period, every time I saw her to ask her for a dosage adjustment (I am on medication for Parkinson's), she dismissed my symptoms as "trivial" and once even refused to adjust my medication, claiming it was not her responsibility. (She was serving, then, as my primary neurologist.) Only after my symptoms escalated into large, life-threatening problems and I went to CU Hospital to see a university specialist did I realize that her failure to make very simple adjustments to my medication had allowed the problems to fester. One CU neurologist told me that "Whoever your neurologist is, he/she isn't doing her job."Quigley has also made remarks that reveal her class-ist (she equates wealth with patient responsibility and makes moralizing judgments about patients' salary, education level, and insurance coverage) and even racist remarks during several conversations. She also does not respond to emails or phone calls within a reasonable period.Due to her vast medical incompetence and dismissive treatment of patients, I believe Dr. Quigley to be a dangerously irresponsible medical practitioner.

See information on her opiate addiction here: https://www.doradls.state.co.us/alison.php?action=COMPDETAIL&ind=true&soboard=9999&lickey=NDAwMTI0&t_o_p=0
