I truly believed Dr. Messer had my best interest at heart.. in the beginning. I came in with a chipped tooth and was told that I needed a crown, so I settled in for a root canal first. The bill was ridiculously exorbitant, after I was told that my canal was very straight forward. It was so expensive, in fact, that my (excellent) insurance company called me to ask about it. I didn't have sedation, excess numbing medications and was basically in and out of there quite quickly. My final crown was ill-fitting and hurt my gums. After I brought this to the doctor's attention in a visit a couple of weeks later (b/c of the pain), she blew it off-- "they ALWAYS feel ill-fitting to begin with". I went back three months later because i was still in pain and she said, "it's fine. perhaps you have a sinus infection." I went to get a second opinion two days later and my new doctor found that there was a gap between the crown and my tooth on one surface and that (after an x-ray, determined that I now had an abscess). A week later I got a call from Arlene's office and she had forgotten to tell me that i needed to have most of my fillings replaced, as she found them to be "ill-fitting".

Business Response:

We have no such patient by this name in our practice, and I checked my records for patients that had root canals done this year, and there were very few, since most would get referred to a specialist. Nevertheless, there was none with the name elleanor and none that I know of in which there was any issue.
.

I really like Dr. Messer's office, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. They gave me Bose headphones to watch tv with and I had nitrous oxide to relax me. All three of the doctors are women, so I felt very comfortable with them and the work they did for me was beautiful and feels great. I have recommended my friends and family to this office.
