My family-meaning my grown children as well as my grandchildren-have been going to these drs. for 30 years. I have always loved all the doctors and have never felt the need to go anywhere else till now. My grandchildren are not allowed to go there after being there 12 years because of some unfortunate circumstances including job loss. I understand how economic changes have made this happen--but where is the loyalty to patients and families who have been there for 30 years-does this not even fit in to the whole decision of who is able to be seen by them? I know medicaid does not pay as much as regular insurance-but I would think the doctors could let LONGTIME patients stay with them because of their longtime relationship. But money money money speaks louder than loyalty I guess. If you have insurance-great place and drs, but if you have medicaid, prepare for substandard treatment-you are not wanted nor needed here.

Warm, cheerful office! The same nurse works with the same doctor so my kids love both their doctor and their nurse. We can even call and talk to our nurse if we have questions about our kids. Wonderful!

My 10 day old son had choked in the middle of night and then stopped breathing on me at home around 8:40am. I called Harrisonburg Pediatrics immediatelly and asked them if I should take him to straight to the ER or there. The nurse said that they had walk ins, to bring him to the office. When I arrived at the Dr's office they took us right back. The doctor examined my son and did a RSV test for procaution. (He didn't act, sound or look sick in any way). The test came back positive. The doctors prepared papers to admit him to the hospital. While waiting on the papers my son stopped breathing again. I took him out to the nurses station and a nurse and another doctor quickly took him back to another room and got him breathing again. My son was then stabilized and taken to the hosptial by Rescue Squad. He was later flown to UVA by Pegasus. If it wasn't for the quick thinking and acting by H'burg Peds I may have lost my son. I cannot thank them enough for their expertise. After my son was released from UVA I had to take him to Hburg Peds for a follow up. We had such a warm welcome home from everyone. All the nurses came and asked about how he was doing. The doctors had also kept in touch with UVA on his condition. This is a very caring practice.

I HAVE CHILD WHO HAS SPECIAL HEALTH ISSUES. ONE OF WHICH IS VOMITING. I HAVE BEEN TAKING HIM TO HARRISONBURG PEDIATRICS SINCE HE WAS A BABY. THEY BLUNTLY TOLD ME THAT MY SON WAS VOMITING FOR ATTENTION AND I WAS REINFORCING HIS BEHAVIOR. THREE YEARS LATER MY SON IS BEING REFERRED TO UVA FOR NEUROLIGICAL REASEARCH FOR SEIZURES AND VOMITING. THEY REALLY MISDIAGNOSED. HARRISONBURG PEDIATRICS IS GOOD FOR DAILY ILLNESSES, BUT IS NOWHERE EQUIPPED TO HELP SPECIAL ILLNESSES.

Excellent Doctors for your kids. They are all friendly, ready to listen, and they are excellent about explaining in layman terms what is wrong (if anything) They have two convenient locations one in Hburg and one in Mcgayhesville. They even offer office hours on Sat and Sunday for established patients. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I thought I wouldn't like this practice because it is so big, but they are the best! I can always get an appointment when I need it. I have used a lot of the doctors and haven't found one that I don't like! Excellent place!
