Just an all around great office to go to. The walls are colorful and cheery for the kids and the wait is next to nothing.

My children love the dentist and are never scared because Dr. Kevin knows how to interact with the little ones and understands that they need to be calm before he works on them

I am 19 and have been going to Dr. Kevin since my first trip to the dentist. I have had nothing but great experiences with him and staff. I remember wondering, as a child, why all of my friends hated going to the dentist, because it was always my favorite time of year!! The new office is absolutely wonderful. The staff is always efficient, but provides great quality care. They are professional and good with children. I also have two sisters (13 and 11) who have gone there since they were little with no hesitations. He even had to sew my sisters tooth back in one time- didn't even phase her at the age of about 7. Nothing but positive things to say here. Rarely had to wait a little over 10 minutes, but it was always worth it. (I just finally transfer to a more appropriate doctor for my age!) I thank Dr. Kevin for keeping my teeth beautiful for 19 years!

I am soooo impressed with Dr. Beyersdorfer and his entire statff! The office is so upbeat! They really do a great job of making my children feel at ease. I have four children and take them all at the same time and they do an excellent job of getting us all taken care of in a very reasonable time. I have seen the reviews below and just don't understand them as they differ so drasticly from all of our expierences with Dr. Beyersdorfer! I will say this, I have taught my children to be respectful and to listen, so I don't have problems with them staying put in the chairs or not listening to the doctor. I also don't have a problem paying my bills so maybe that is the difference.

UPDATE - GO SEE DR. DRUM just across town! We have been to Dr. Drum three times now since seeing Dr. B. and it was a world of difference. We were treated with kindness, respect, and the insurance billing was done properly. Most importantly, Dr. Drum actually cleaned the tarter off of my son's teeth to make his mouth healthier. The office staff and the dentist were sooo much better at Dr. Drum's office!

Long wait - arrived at 9 a.m. to fill out paperwork since we were told our appt. was at 9:15. Waited until 9:50 and I went up to ask them if they were running behind. They said the appt was supposed to be at 9:30 but they told me 9:15 since there would be paperwork. After the long wait for my 1 year old, all the dentist did was brush his teeth and describe how to brush and floss (which we do anyway). He recommended we switch to flouride toothpaste and said it is fine if he swallows it - since the research points to the contrary, I won't make the switch to flouride toothpaste until my son can spit. I guess Dr. Kevin didn't want to scare my son and clean the tarter off his teeth, but two hours for a round trip and the long wait didn't seem worth seeing a dr. just to brush his teeth. Then, they billed with a "problem" code instead of as a routine preventative visit, so that leaves me paying over $50 for a wasted visit I took off a half day of work for (should have been covered 100% by my insurance). In talking to a woman about billing codes there, she said she was going to get the billing code list to look up what my insurance company was saying - but instead she transferred me to a manager who was answered and acted like I was doing something wrong (she had pretended to be solving the problem with me/looking at the billing code explanations, but instead transferred me without warning). Extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. If they had cleaned the tarter off my son's teeth - my insurance would have picked up the whole tab at 100%. We won't be back. Believe the poor reviews you see here - I wish I would have when I read them. My very nice family dentist doesn't see children until they are three (says they can understand more and open their mouth for a cleaning) - so maybe I won't bother with a pediatric dentist anymore in case there seems to be a problem. I thought I was doing the responsible thing having my 1 year old go to the dentist - but all they did was just look inside his mouth and brush as we do. My insurance company must also feel it is a waste without doing a cleaning (since they don't cover this simple look inside the mouth without a cleaning). I saw some tartar on my baby's teeth and I was hoping it would be cleaned - he didn't seem afraid of the dentist at all - but all the "first appointment" really was was a "consultation" for sure.

I have to say that Dr. Kevin was very impatient, rude, harsh, belittling, and scolding to my child. We will NEVER forget our experience with him. Thanks to Dr. Kevin my child now panics at the word dentist, and even the name Kevin. Before Dr. Kevin we had no problems going to the dentist. He really left an emotional scar on my child. Needless to say, we will never return to his services, and would not reccomend him to anyone. Thankfully we have found a new dentist that is patient and kind, and is slowly building some trust with my child.

We LOVE Dr. Rodriguez! My family has been going to see him for about two years. Mo oldest is 14 and has braces so he goes in 4 times a year instead of 2. My younger children are 4 and 3. Dr Rodriguez has always been GREAT with all three of them. He has told my oldest son when he needs to brush better, but not by making him feel bad, Instead he tells him about different techniques to help him clean around the bands and brackets. My youngest children were Terrified the first time we went to see Dr. Rodriguez. He AND his staff were very kind and patient. The next time we went both of them hopped right on the chair and had no problems with the exam. My then three year old even asked when she could come back! I do not have the best dental insurance and it does not always cover the entire cost of the visit, but I have NEVER had and problems or issues because of it. After every visit you sit with the billing staff and they explain all costs to you. When they recommended my oldest come in an extra two times a year, they explained our insurance would not cover it at all and told me what all my payment options would be in advance.I would STRONGLY recommend Dr. Rodriguez to anyone with kids.

My son was a patient of Dr Beyersdorfer when he first went to the dentist at 3 and had a good experience. However, at our second visit they were much more hurried with our son who got scared and did not want his teeth cleaned. Dr Beyersdorfer then talked to my 3 year old in a threatening manner and basically forced him to open his mouth, and he told me that if he didn't do this that my son would never behave correctly for a dentist. My son is an extremely compliant boy and simply needed a little reassurance, not a military dentist. We will never see this dentist again.

My daughter & I absolutely love Dr. Kevin. We have been going to him since she was 3 and never had any problems. He is great with the kids, a pleasure to talk to and talks clearly to me. I wouldn't change to another dentist for any reason!

Our dentist referred our 5 year old daughter to Dr. Kevin. We've been once and found out she needed to have some extensive dental work done. Dr. Kevin never once made any negative remarks to her or us as parents about her teeth. In fact, when he viewed her x-rays and did the exam he told her how beautiful her teeth were. We were very impressed with his bedside manner. He's just a fun guy, giving out high fives, etc. The office is decorated very kid friendly with toys, puzzles, books and veggie tales was on the tv. Our daughter left there with a bag of dental care stuff and a couple of toys for her good behavior. We would reccomend this place to our friends and family.

Dr. Kevin is a gem! We have been in this practice for years with both children and are thrilled to have specialists like this in our area. Parents are provided a treatment plan up front that clearly states all fees and requires a "responsible party" signature. So folks, be that responsible party and pay your bills! Your inability to keep proper records is not the fault of the physician or his staff, it is your fault, and it ends up costing the rest of us money as you are the reason their office has to hire employees with the sole duty of chasing down the bad pays of this world like you.

I just brought all six of my children to Associated Pediatric Dentistry. Overall we had a very good experience. I would recommend them to anyone. As far as the money goes, luckily my insurance paid in full ($10 deductible / kid). The thing I was most happy about was the Hygienists, ESPECIALLY Jamie. She was just wonderful with the two she worked with. Also, a friend of mine recommended them to me as they were the lowest priced Pediatric Dentist's Office in our area.

All 4 of my children see Dr Beyersdorfer at the O'fallon office. He and his staff are excellent.

As far as the money issue...excellent health care is expensive to provide and we need to expect to pay our bills.

I would whole heartedly recommend doctor Kevin and his office to anyone.

I really do like this dentist's office. It makes my son feel very comfortable as like most kids, he does not like going to the dentist. They are very kid-friendly here and have great staff. However, I agree with the perception that they are very much about getting paid over putting patients first. I too have not been able to schedule appt's over owing small balances that were left over from what my insurance didn't cover. And their prices are higher than what most dentist offices charge, which is why we usually always have a balance. I have been thinking about going elsewhere, but my son really likes it there.

I too believe that the office of Kevin Beyersdorfer (Ofallon branch) is out for the pretty penny! My child has been a patient w/ him since she was 3 (who is now 13), then followed by her brother, and we have been treated very well thru out the last 10 years, until recently (I also used to drive a little over an hour just to go to Dr. Kevin). Earlier in the year I took my children for their normal 6 month check up. I have very good insurance that covers almost everything. They did their normal routine, I checked out and went home. A few weeks later I received a bill for over $100 for services that they performed. My insurance allows certain amounts on certain procedures. It just so happens that most of his procedures were over what my insurance covers, which is fine w/ me, if it is w/in reason. This has ALWAYS been the case. ALWAYS, since we have been going there. We would always have a small bill after check ups. This time was the last straw. They performed adult procedures on my daughter that were NOT covered on my insurance due to her only being 12 at the time. They should have notified me of this, and that there would be extra charges. My final bill ended up being around $130 and needless to say, since they wanted to be $$$ hungry, I am paying the bill VERY slowly. When my husband called to confront them about this, and the long time over paying that we have been doing, and they basically had nothing to say for themselves. They got very snotty and defensive. It is not that I couldn't AFFORD the bill, that wasn't even the point. It is that if they weren't so $$$ hungry, and performed and billed the insurance for the right procedures, then maybe they would have ALL of their $$$ from the insurance company other than bumping up their fees to where it just barely goes over the insurance requirement and making their loyal, long term patients pay for the extras. I made up my mind that I will NEVER go back. My bill may be small, and it may not get paid off til the middle of 2008, but I am proving my point. If they want me to pick up the extra tab just b/c they want to overcharge and get more $$$ "in pocket", other than just getting their insurance $$$, then don't expect me to "pay in full" right away. You will be waiting for your $$$ and getting very small increments in the mean time. Even if my point isn't made to them, and they could care less, it makes me happy knowing that they are waiting for that $$$. :)

We have been loyal patients of Dr. Kevin Beyersdorfer for as long as my 10 yr. old son has been old enough to begin seeing a dentist, followed by his brother and sister as well. Recently when I called to schedule an appointment they told me that I couldn't do so because I had an "outstanding balance." This came as a surprise, as I had never so much as received a note or phone call. The amount in question was a grand total of $40, which I made a special trip to pay immediately that day. When I came to the office, they told me I could not use my Delta dental card to pay for the kids' visits, and that instead I would have to pay for all 3 up front and let them collect the money and send it to me! When I respectfully protested, stating that I pay for dental insurance for the very reason that I DON'T have to pay for office visits (which are covered 100%, no deductible) and that, as a PPO provider under the contract they are supposed to accept my insurance card in lieu of payment, they became indignant and arrogant. The office manager had a major "attitude" and, in spite of requesting to speak with Dr. Beyersdorfer, he never even had the fortitude to address us personally. Instead, he sent us a letter telling us to go elsewhere! Amazing! It is a sad commentary on his attitude toward "patient appreciation," and evidently he would prefer to be petty and "punish" us instead of making any effort whatsoever to resolve the issue. Apparently the almighty dollar is where his concern for his patients ends. We were very shocked and disappointed by this experience.

Our local dentist spends quite a bit of time in this office, therefore we've frequented his office a number of times. Dr. Mello is our dentist and we've been nothing but very pleased with her. This office's staff was *wonderful* when I was lost looking for their office! The decor is gorgeous with child-friendly animal murals thoughout and video games for the post-office fun times.

PROS: Staff; decor; extras
CONS: None.
