I'm almost afraid to write a review of Dr. Jenny because I selfishly don't want her to be any more popular than she already is! She is extremely personable and approachable and I appreciate that she is very middle of the road when it comes to treatment. She's not extremely conservative nor "alternative", but is willing to take the path of least intervention as a first step.

I've been with Dr. Jenny for about 7 years now. She helped us through almost 2 years of infertility with sensitivity and was very helpful and reassuring for both of our pregnancies - including the complications at the end of the first pregnancy. When we were without insurance for the second pregnancy, Jenny and her staff worked with and around the system to help us out as much as possible, which we really appreciated.

While Jenny is very laid back and reassuring with her patients, the nurses at Meriter hospital know that what Jenny says goes. In comparing my birth stories to those of other women I know that just saying "Let's call Dr. Jenny to see what she says about that" will change a bossy nurse's attitude to be willing to consider what I've asked. (Most of the nurses I encountered were wonderful people who were extremely supportive, but there is always an exception.)

The one downfall of Dr. Jenny's practice is that she shares the OB rotation with 4 or 5 other doctors. The other doctors in the practice are all women and all very good and the clinic schedules later OB appointments with all of them so you have met the person who may be catching your baby. But it's still a little disappointing to go into labor and know that Jenny won't be the one to be there.

The other downfall is the hazard of being popular - you need to plan appointments well in advance. Flexibility is reserved for OB patients, so definitely schedule gyn appointments at least 6 months in advance.
