Seven years ago I was given a prescription for Zelnorm and had a really bad reaction. I had headaches, jaw pressure, rapid heartbeat, severe insomnia and twitching in my right arm. I went back to the Doctor and he wanted to keep me on it longer. After a day or two I went off of it on my own and didn't get any better. Then of course I had to go to a neurologist. The neurologist said I definitely had a reaction and my right pupil was dilated and I was extremely tense in my neck and upper back area and that wasn't normal. He put me on medication called Limbitrol. I started off with one a night and eventually had to take 3 a night for over 5 years and that helped control the problem, but without it, all of the problems would come back. Then in April of 2010 I ended up pregnant and had no choice but to go off the Limbitrol because it causes birth defects, and I was in terrible pain, and couldn't sleep again. The head pressure slowly returned, the twitching came back, and so my husband started looking up Chiropractors and found Dr. Kristine Baker. He called and spoke with her and she said she could help and we were in her office the same day. We had a consultation visit and said she could help so we thought we had nothing to lose and wanted to give it a try. Especially because my pain was so bad, that we had to talk about ending the pregnancy, which was gut wrenching to even think about. After about a month of seeing her 2 or 3 times a week, I started to sleep, my pain minimized, and the twitching was pretty much gone. My headaches were getting less frequent and not as strong. My husband could really see my improvement too. By the time I was 5 1/2 months along I was really functioning well and could start driving myself again to the store and to my appointments. I also had back pain all the time before I got pregnant (I had broken my back in my early 20's, and rebroke it in my late 20s), and getting adjusted during my pregnancy, I actually didn't have any back pain during my pregnancy, which was amazing. My friends and family didn't know how I made it through my pregnancy (but I knew), and I went full term, and had a healthy 8lb 4oz little girl. Dr. Baker is amazing and she is my angel, and I would tell anyone to come to her. I am still seeing her and I am bringing my daughter to see her soon because she is having trouble sleeping and with acid reflux.

I grew up going to chiropractors and while I've gone to several over the past 20 years, I've had 2 chiropractors that were almost like family to my entire family. Having moved away from both this past year, I was very concerned that I wouldn't find someone to fill their shoes. Dr. Baker has more than filled their shoes for me. My job requires a lot of arm/shoulder work as well as the typical upper back stiffness that happens in most lines of work. The combination of accupuncture, adjustment and cranial sacrial treatments from Dr. Baker have so improved the way I feel and move. If I had my way, I would do all 3 treatments every week. Its that good!

It is my personal opinion that Dr. Kristine Baker is a brilliant Chiropractor with whom I trust with my life. That may sound strong but for anyone who has ever been in the acute painful situation I was in when I first saw her I am sure you would agree. For me, she saved my life and continues to keep me from getting back to that severe condition I was in. I have been to 3 other Chiropractors over the past 15yrs., and I can honestly say that she is the only one that truly helped me with her techniques. Since my 18yr. old son is disabled and requires my assistance with walking and transitioning in and out of his wheelchair I will probably be a lifetime chiropractic patient, and hopefully will not ever have to lose Dr. Kristine Baker for her care and expertise. She comes from a family of Chiropractors and I think that Chiropractic medicine runs through her veins! It's like she knows exactly how to read each person's body and is so amazing in finding problems that I didn't know existed. My husband feels the same way. He has been a patient of Baker Chiropractic even before Dr. Kristine was involved and she is his #1 choice!
