I take back my previous statement posted 3 years ago when I first met this doctor. Her staff is HORRIBLE and extremely RUDE plus ridiculously unorganized! This doctor has developed a nasty, biased, inappropriate attitude towards ALL patients. I've witnessed it through not only myself and my husband, but other patients who stop going to her as well. Many times my blood work was MISSING! UNFILED! She uses stale, ineffective pee test strips, which ended up in me suffering for a month with a very debilitating urinary problem, which I had to see a urologist for since she failed trying to find out why I had a 103 fever (not during any cold and flu seasons). So not only did I pay for her visit, but the specialist as well. She's extremely inconsiderate to people's well being, which shows by her habitual tardiness with appointments. During every time I sat in her waiting room, she had 3-7 pharmaceutical reps go to see her. All she does is try to cram in as many appointments as she can and spends less than 5 minutes for each. Last time I visited, it was empty and I STILL WAITED FOR 40 MINUTES. Her unacceptable bedside manor is an abhorrence to the medical profession and its standards and practices. More often than not, she supplies her PERSONAL opinion and bias instead of a professional (or other more qualified professionals she considers her peers) and non-judgmental diagnosis. She doesn't think before she speaks. She doesn't care if she hurts YOUR feelings (assuming she has any at all and knows what disappoint is, from my perspective she severely LACKS any compassion). Even when I first visited back in 2008 and ended up needing surgery two months after I first saw her, I had an uneasy feeling that when I described the severe abdominal pain and other surrounding areas to her, that her first guess was DEPRESSION (which she thinks every one needs to be on an SSRI, tried to prescribe my husband one and distinctively said "You'd be surprised who is on them"). My pain ended up being caused by ovarian cysts and endometriosis, NOT depression, as her first PERSONAL opinion had deciphered. I wouldn't be surprised if she's the one on SSRI's (probably 'testing' all those drug samples she gets and stacks all over the place in the waiting room) considering her dramatic mood swings. She's so loud even with the patient rooms' doors closed, you can hear her ranting on to the next person and what she's diagnosing them with. One visit she blew up on the phone calling my endocrinologist (who is down the street from her), yelling at him for not sending my blood work to her, which I never authorized them to do anything like that in the first place!!!! Ironically, she's the one who has lost 2 of my blood work results due to her extremely disorganized office. Everything is just in stacks because the staff is so lazy and incompetent; they just answer their cell phone calls and/or texts right in front of you when you are trying to pay or sign in or ask them a question. If you stand at the front and you have an appointment and you sign in, but you have a question and linger around the front desk, they scold you and say "Just have a seat, she'll see you shortly". I've seen this happen to numerous patients while sitting in the waiting room. Not only do the staff desperately cling on to their cell phones and do other inappropriate actions while at the front desk, but they make it clear that they go from lackadaisical to unresponsive 30 minutes to an hour BEFORE their lunch break. They make this clear to ALL patients that their lunch break is SOON and they will do it AFTER lunch, like something as so simple as making a copy or faxing something or even getting pre-surgery paperwork ready to send to the surgical doctor. All in all, if you still try to go to this poor excuse of a doctor's office after reading the truth in all the negative posts about this business, then you deserve the crappy service you are going to get. I'm sure this business will realize who wrote this review real quick and probably eventually threaten me to take it down, but I'll just keep posting it everywhere available. It is a free country and a free market and patients like me should have the right to know how poor the performance of a doctor really is, since I have multiple medical problems that require constant monthly care and check-ups. I wouldn't go here if you have any serious, chronic, and debilitating conditions, since they refuse to care for and help people with such handicaps. I hope more than just patients read about this business' appalling behavior and lack of quality medical treatment. I hope other medical businesses, medical professionals, colleagues, peers, etc. read this and second guess her ability to honor the Hippocratic Oath. This business has caused me direct and indirect physical and emotional trauma for 3 years now, but I'm glad to be free from that stronghold and I'm so happy I have this opportunity to share my experience with you.

I used to go to Dr.Mandell's office but I stopped going and stopped recommending it due to the overall crowdedness of the practice. More often than not I was seen by nurse practicioner as opposed to an actual doctor and I never really felt that I was taken care of. At one point I wound up having undiagnosed mono, but the people at the practice never even tested for it. I was pumped full of unecessary medicine and was even told that the reason I was feeling so poorly might have been depression.
