Seems knowledgeable in the beginning seemed so nice! Terrible at taking bl-d. He put a tourniquet around my arm to take a simple, routine bl-d test. I thought it was unnecessarily too tight, as my veins are very readily available. My entire arm--from above elbow down to my wrist--was black, blue, purple and green for 2 weeks! But here is bigger concern: I had to get undressed and wear one of those flimsy paper robes so he could take a mallot and to test my shin reflexes. Notably, there was apparently no examine any other part of my body above my knees. Yet, he left me in that paper robe, lying on the table for at least half an hour- 45 min, while we had a discussion and he asked me questions. Why did i need to remain undressed, uncomfortable like that while he stood -over- me typing notes into the computer (situated next to my head.) All for a shin reflex test? I felt there was no real need for me to be undressed at all, forget about for the entire consultation, which we could have easily had in his office (while I was fully dressed.) He never did anything wrong physically. Yet, I felt very uncomfortable, like it was a weird power thing. I don't like or totally trust him. I got my own independent lab test. But my GP recommended him.... Still, I may look into other doctors if I really do need help.

Pros: Recommended by my doctor

Cons: Uncomfortable

I never write bad reviews so this is hard for me. I had a couple of appointments with this Doctor and I really liked how he listened. I haven't had a doctor do that in a long time. I was able to have a conversation with him.
I went to a follow up appointment last week and got the opposite experience. I waited an hour in the waiting room. When I finally got into his office I could have brought up the lateness and been upset that I missed so much work- but was surprised when he started saying very rude comments to ME. He began prescribing things I wasn't comfortable taking. When I began asking questions about the interactions with all the prescriptions he snapped and said, "I DON'T WANT TO ARGUE WITH YOU!" I was baffled. I said, "No one is arguing. I am a human being and a patient. I should be allowed to ask you a question." He interrupted me many times after that, as I tried to tell him my fears for taking certain pills. I began feeling very unsafe as he got in my face with his ranting. I was not able to say anything in return and then he stormed out of his office and slammed the door. It was a nightmare. There was obviously something wrong that had nothing to do with me. But I still don't ever want to feel unsafe like that with a doctor; as a young woman or patient- regardless of gender. Which is unfortunate because I thought the first two appointments were good. But after that insanity- I am looking for another Endocrinologist.
