We had seen Dr Bigler for 6-7 years with my 3 biological children. We went twice a year for cleanings and also for any cavities, caps or spacers, etc that needed done. We then adopted a special needs child and that's when the troubles began. Dr Bigler really needs to be educated on various special needs of kids, adoption issues, and insurance red tape. He was self righteous and condescending, even when I tried to explain my daughter's needs and how abandonment and trauma impact all aspect of a child's life so he could figure out the best treatment for her, but he knew everything and wouldn't listen. I was told our bill would be over $1500 to get my daughters teeth fixed in our initial visit, but our insurance wouldn't give her coverage for a full year till we had proof that she was indeed a citizen(lots of red tape). As soon as she received full coverage we took her in immediately for services only for Dr Bigler to call CPS on us because we had 'neglected' her dental care for the year we fought with insurance( despite a proven history of committed dental care for all of our other children with Dr Bigler). If you go to this Dentist you better be sure you do exactly what he says and what he wants when he wants you to, regardless of any special needs, or insurance/money issues. Otherwise you could be getting a knock at your door by a Child Protective service agent like we did. Also, I was told my daughter would get full nitrous oxide and he didn't give her any. Pinned her down to a board when she can only sign to communicate and we had no idea what effects- if any -Novocaine had on her and she couldn't even let us know if it hurt by using sign(since her arms would strapped down). She screamed bloody murder the whole time( and she never cries out when hurt), so I am assuming she was not numb. This is a child that has a severe distrust of strangers and had never had any dental work done in her life. You can only imagine how traumatic this was for her. My older daughter told me a couple stories of him not listening to her pain level while she got teeth pulled and I kind of blew her off and now I am ill thinking how he might have been treating my other kids all those years. Know what you are getting yourself into if you go to Dr Bigler.

He is a very uncaring and impatient dentist. He tells the children to basically shut up, putting hands over their mouths and claims it's his right since he informs you in it in his restraints measures info sheet. He prides himself on giving care to medicaid patients but also believes that he's doing these patients a favor for accepting this insurance. His staff may seem to be nice at first, but no one really sees what's going on once the child leaves the parent. My child had the wrong tooth pulled while he went in for a CLEANING appointment!! Can you imagine? The aid took the wrong child and pulled up the wrong chart!!! This isn't the first time I have heard of this happening either. I would be very cautious if I were you before you take your child there. And he is practically inaccessible any other time. You have to go through his office manager who acts like she has to know everything before passing you over to speak to him. This is a very unprofessional practice. I will never take my children there again.

I think that Dr. Bigler is the worst dentist you could possibly take your child to. He is rough and downright mean at times.
His staff is nice and caring but he, himself is not.
I had a tooth pulled by him when I was a teen ager. Even though I told him my mouth was not numb he told me I didn't know what I was talking about and proceded to pull the tooth anyway. With me screaming the whole time. This is only one example of his uncaring.
