Dr. Bikhazi performed surgery on my neck and cut a nerve, now I have permanent numbness the size of my palm on my head. Dr. Bikhazi and the Everett Clinic admit what happened, however they will not do anything since it does not fit the legal definition of malpractice.

I was sent to dr bahkazi by my primary. I already knew what I wanted done and had looked into the facts. He basically agreed to do the surgery and rambled off the risks ect; he was pretty friendly at this point. The day of my surgery I found his manner to be much different. Very short and nonchalant. I attributed this to his busy schedule and let it go. I didn't hear from him at all afterwards.the next day,my uvula was so swollen I could hardly drink water, let alone sleep.I called and his nurse was very rudestating that he doesntperscribe steroids for that procedure and I was told what to expect. Later I had my boyfriend call back. This time we got the doctor himself who had no problem prescribing them. At this point I was liking him a bit better. However a week later I was vomiting and had blood filling my sick from a hemmorhage in my throatthroat.when we arrived I felt like more of an irritant to him than anything.I could understand it was three am, but I have a six month old and had just gotten done choking and smiting my own blood,at three am. So I expected a bit more. He did the surgery an that was it. The evergreen hospital staff was much more understanding and polite. That night I started experiencing incredible neck and upper back pain. I couldn't find anything online so I called the hospital who advised us to call him.our phone call with him was extremely short. He asked almost nothing. Not how bad the pain was,not how long, absolutely nothing. He said "if it still happened tomorrow we could come in but yeah..."he was extremely unfriendly and made me feel like I was over reacting and had no reason to be calling. Not a pleasant experience at all!

I consulted this doctor with a lump in my neck. Based on only an ultrasound, he told me he was quite sure I had papillary thyroid cancer and that it was highly treatable, with a survival rate of 80 or 90%. He then referred me to a website to get more information on thyroid cancer, asked me to schedule a biopsy with the nurse, and literally walked out of the office stating "have a nice day". I left with millions of unanswered questions and full of dread about facing cancer. In the end he was correct but his delivery and manner were profoundly poor. I called another Dr. to schedule a second opinion prior to going back for a consult with Dr. Bikhazi. He found out I was getting a second opinion and was actually angry that I was looking elsewhere, acting like a spoiled child. Needless to say I did not use him for surgery!!! I ended up with a much better doctor who acted professionally and patiently answered all my questions. This guy needs to grow up. He may be proficient but his immaturity left me feeling like I didn't want him to be my surgeon!!!
