I switched to this doctor almost a year ago because I'd heard so much positive feedback from some of her other patients who happen to be co-workers of mine, who said that she had a more holistic approach to medicine than most Western practitioners. However, I've never even seen this doctor - only her PAs! One of the first things her office did was to order a full blood workup - and surprise, my vitamin D levels were quite low, indicating the need to take a Vitamin D3 supplement. Oddly enough, everyone else who goes to this doctor also has a vitamin D deficiency - yes, EVERYONE! Luckily, her office just happens to sell the Metagenics vitamins that will solve that problem. Hmmm...anyway, she recently decided to implement a new "concierge" program, to where if you are willing to pay an additional $1800 a year, you will actually get to see the doctor instead of a PA, and you can get even same-day appointments, and well, you know, get the kind of care that you should be getting anyway but probably don't anymore in this day and age. Yes folks, just $1800 a year - be sure to sign up quickly, because space in this program is limited! And if you fail to do so, it is made clear to you from the body language of the PAs who didn't leave her employ (yes, at least one very good PA has left since this all came about) that any concerns you may have about your health are just not all that important to them (e.g., folded arms as they tell you that, yes, they could examine you to try to find out why you have unexplained bleeding between periods, but it's probably pointless anyway, so why bother?). After paying my $25 for my last office visit, I left thoroughly unsatisfied - nay, angry - with my "care." I hope to be able to switch back to my previous doctor soon.

I do not recommend Dr. Bisharat to anyone. My appointments were very unproductive because I had to wait for about 2 hours to see the doctor @ each appointment. While I was waiting I would hear other patients complaining about the wait and if it's even worth it.

Then when I finally see her and spend time explaining things I needed, she referred me to a specialist for EVERY SINGLE THING! You would think she is getting a commission or something. So she never did any doctor work herself. Examples are referring me to a gynocologist just because I needed birth control & a pevlic exam, referring me to a dermatologist just because I wanted something for my acne, and referring me to an allergist just because I wanted allergy meds. Those are all things she could have done herself! (in theory) She did say she would give me a script for flonase, but she didn't.

She never called me to go over bloodwork with me, so after a lot of waiting I called them and found out my Vit D levels were extremely low and I had to start taking supplements. She only calls about things that are "truly" important, not a measly vitamin D deficiency.

So basically I will never go to this woman again, and I will go to a doctor that will actually be THE doctor.

I wanted to also say that some people want this is a doctor and this is what they look for, just not me.
