My children have been going to Burlington Peds for 17 yrs.....love the doctors....just wondering why I got a letter in mail saying I owed ten dollars and if I didn't pay my children would be kicked out of the practice....first I DO NOT owe ten dollars my deductible is $5000 I have to pay everything up front..so if I do owe ten dollars it's because the OFFICE STAFF has made an error...and I will be collecting my children's records and relocating them to another office...I have put way more money than TEN dollars and never threaten to leave the practice over how much they charge...

Are you kidding me!! Dr. Bonney is the greatest Dr. I have ever seen! He spends time with his patients and takes time to explain in detail what the issue is or how a child is progressing with growth. My 3 yr. old was recently hospitalized and every rotation a different Dr. came in. My son asked every Dr. where Dr. Bonney was! That says it all when your child cares that much! He is awesome and we love the staff at Burl. Peds. as well! Kuddos for Dr. Bonney, Nurse Cari and Gina as well as the entire staff at the West office!

Dr. Bonney has seen my son for 6 years now and he has ALWAYS taken his time with him. Even though he only sees him about once a year (annual check-ups) he always looks over his record and asks how he is progressing since the last visit. He relates well to children and takes the time to ask my son about sports, school and other hobbies. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Bonney to anyone who wants their child in the best hands. He is a very nice man with great medical skill and and awesome bedside manner!

For those of you negative nellies, I have taken all 3 of my children to Burl Peds and would recommend no other physicians. I have a 22, 20, and 6 y.o. all of whom were cared for by Burl Peds West. Sometimes you may have to wait, but each physician spends time with each child to ensure a proper diagnosis. Dr. Bonney and Dr. Moffitt are the best peds in the state! These people are kind, caring, nurturing, professional individuals.

I unintentionally landed on this website and was very upset to see some of the negative comments. My 3 yr. old and 16mo. old have always gone to Burlington Peds. Dr. Bonney is our first choice, but there have been no issues with any of the pediatrician's we have encountered. Dr. Bonney has always spent as much time as necessary. I don't feel rushed and I have the utmost confidence in his medical assessment and treatment. He has even taken the time to listen to the lungs of a beloved stuffed animal, at my son's request. :) We usually have to wait quite a while, but I know that it's because Dr. Bonney is spending the needed time with the patients before us. As for the "wanting your money" issue that was mentioned in several reviews...it is the insurance companies that demand money from the practice and it's their job. I'm sure if your paycheck was 2 months late you would be making some phone calls! I certainly have complaints about insurance companies, but that's another issue that SHOULD be controlled by our government. So, I suggest you write your congressman. I do wish there were completely separate waiting rooms for sick/well visits. All of the toys are on the "sick" side and it is nearly impossible to explain to a toddler that all of the toys are contaminated with germs. Even so, I have always recommended Burlington Peds to friends and family.

Burlington Peds only cares about your money and how fast they can get to the next patients. It is obvious they want to get you and get you out. Also, the front office manager has no customer service skills whatsoever. I overheard her talking about a very young mother and it wasn't nice things. The hallways also smell, I have been in there 3 times in 2 1/2 months and each time it stinks. We have since transfered out of there, thank goodness for my children!

My one year old daughter is a patient of Dr. Bonney, but we have seen several of the physicians in the practice for various reasons over the last year. We love them and have recommended them to several friends who have also had good experiences.

A few months ago, my daughter had a terrible stomach virus...so much so she couldn't keep water, breast milk, pedialyte or anything else down. Dr. Bonney wasn't available, but they were able to get us an appointment with Dr. Johnson who spent a lot of time calming me down and showing me some tips and techniques to try and get my daughter to get some fluids in her. He called that evening to check on her and see how she was doing. When she continued to get worse, I called the physician on call, who responded promptly and stayed on the phone with me for about 15 minutes while I tried to get my daughter to drink and to discuss hospitalizing her if she did not improve quickly. Both the physician on call (I think it was Dr. Mertz) and Dr. Johnson called the next day to check on her and see how she was doing. And we have had several similar experiences with them going above and beyond to share they care. As new parents, my husband and I always feel they take the time to answer our questions, make sure we feel comfortable with what's going on and they have never made us feel stupid.

The doctors here only care about the money. The rush you in and out and spend less than 5-10 min with the patient so they can move on and get co-pays and money from the next patient. Also, the office manager is very rude and has ZERO management skills!

I could not agree less with the negative reviews on this site. The office was clean, efficient and the staff and physicians were as concerned and caring as any I have ever encountered. I can't help but wonder if the people who wrote these reviews were in the same office. Kudos to the physicians and staff of Burlington Pediatrics.

This is one of the worst doctor's offices I've ever encountered. They rush you through the appointments, judge you constantly and make you concerned over nothing. They never return phone calls in a timely matter and never get their story straight.

go somewhere else.

When my oldest daughter who is now 3 was born, we chose Dr. David Mertz from Burlington Pediatrics. He visited her in the hospital and has been her doctor every since. We have recently had another baby and we chose Dr. Mertz for her too. They are not "just another patient" to him, he knows them by name and remember that my oldest LOVES dora the explorer so he always talks to her about that before he starts the procedure. Maybe that is a small thing but it eases my child's mind and makes her less nervous about what's about to happen. Sierra refers to him as "the doctor with the zebra telescope (stethoscope)" HAHA. The receptionist has been rude to us a time or 2 but I can deal with her as long as we have a great doctor to care for our kids! That receptionist just needs chocolate, who knows maybe it's a hormone thing? I read the other reviews and saw one about the waiting room smelling and being dirty. I have been going there for 4 years almost and it has NEVER been dirty, nor smelly. However, they do have TV with cartoons on it to keep the little ones still while they wait. and about waiting,,, obviously appointments have priority, so if you walk in with out one expect you are going to have to wait your turn!

I would never take anything more less a child to Burlington Peds. The staff has the most uncaring attitude I have ever seen in the medical profession. I have been told of so many misdiagnosis. They take forever to return your phone calls and when they do you get a cold heartless person telling you in so many words that they are too busy for you. The waiting room is unclean and smells. The exam rooms aren't much better. They never see you on time, so that means my well child must sit in the room with sick children for some time. YUK!

PROS: none
CONS: all

It seemed like my world had just crumbled right before my eyes. My son was under two years old when he had his first Reactive Airway Disease Attack. An asthma attack is called a Reactive Airway Disease Attack when it occurs under the age of two years old because, children can outgrow it before two years old. We didn't know what was happening and, he was laying on the floor with his chest caving in trying to breath which he couldn't do. We contacted Burlington Pediatrics who told us that he needed to be brought in. They did two nebulizer treatments on him. They didn't work so they told us to take him to the hospital and, he was going to be admitted for overnight medication treatments. We were scared because it was happening so fast and, we couldn't even go home to get anything that he needed. Burlington Pediatrics were so wonderful in taking care of my son. They are alot better than Mebane Pediatrics even though some of the same doctors are at both clinic I saw two different doctors at both clinics. My son is now 12 years old and doing better. He sill has cough variant asthma that is brought on by allergies but, if it wasn't for Burlington Pediatrics quick response to my Son's emergency medical condition he might not be here today.

Whether you have a newborn, a toddler, or a young adult you can count on Burlington Pediatrics to provide the best care in town. Burlington Pediatrics works with Alamance Regional Medical Center which allows for medical treatment to be done that can't be done in a clinic. They have well qualified and friendly doctors, nurses, and staff to dish out all the TLC you need. They have two locations in Burlington for added convenience.
