We had never had to visit an emergency dentist, so this was a first. My husband's crown fell off his front tooth while eating a sandwich. I thought the crown had only fallen off, come to find out the tooth actually did break. I called several 24/hr/claimed to be 24/hour dentists and he was the only one who answered. Others I got a voicemail or it disconnected. Dr. Stephens answered right away, was able to give me a price quote over the phone, asked me a few questions and said I could come in within a few hours (I was pulling him away from a family event). I was in the office within 2 hours. They were on-time and extremely polite. Dr. Stephens was very kind and down-to-earth over the phone, I wasn't sure I was talking to a doctor. It was as if I was talking to a friend who happened to be a Dentist. When he told us the tooth had broke, he gave us all the information we needed, explained the procedure and gave us another price quote. He even pulled out his tablet and showed us the procedure we needed (new crown and post). He is out of network, but we really liked him so if it came down to who we liked, we'd go to him again. Totally recommend! He was great!

well i saw this doctor on an emergancy visit, that was great, but he mislead me to believe that they accepted my insurance when in reality he is not a provider with my insurance, so i came back for a routine root canal, prices were never discussed until after the first round of the root canal was finished, they never stated that they were not a provider with my insurance, so i was confused when i asked him if he accepted my insurance and he said yes, any other time i have worked with a dentist or doctor office they always tell you if they are not a provider with the insurance company so you know then if you still want to have the work done it will be more expensive, so i paid more out of pocket than i would wanted to, when confronting the staff/dr. (3rd visit after i finally figured it out, that they arent a provider) about why they did not communicate the price of the procedure and that i feel like they mislead me to believe they were a provider on my insurance, because they did not tell me they were not a provider when i asked if they accepted my insurance, the dentist told me first thing out of his mouth was i should be more grateful, and show more gratitude for the high quality work he does, and i said is this the first thing you are going to say, not an im sorry for the lack of communication. so just a heads up he did do good quality work, but their customer service is not very good. and when faced with confrontation he doesnt handle him self well. and to tell me that i cant get any other dentist to do work on an emergancy basis that he is the only one in the valley who will work on a saturday is not accurate, and that i should be thankfule he came in on a saturday, he is very unthoughtful. so i hope you have a better experience. good luck it took me atleast 3 visits with this office to realize that the secretary does not know how to do her job, she should tell you what insurance companies bill for be able to price it for us,(we are the consumer), this office is offering a service, they need to be more knowledgeable in this service and not like it is the first rodeo.

Business Response:

Amber, I am sorry my office let you down. Typically, our office financial policies are up front and there is little confusion about co-pays. Again, if you were confused I apologize and pledge to communicate better to all our patients. I am glad you emergency visit was great and I was able to be there for you in your time of emergency need. Best Regards, Dr Stephens
