Dr. Swenson is a great family doctor. Recently my girls and I all became sick with a stomach virus. This is not the first time I saw Dr. Swenson, but the first time where I could not get in to see our pediatrician and Dr Swenson's office saw all 3 of us without the blink of an eye. His staff was incredibly gracious, playing with the girls to cheer them up and handing us extra toys and water while we waited. My girls loved the office, the play area, the stickers, the whole thing, even when sick. His MA even called us later to see how we were doing. LOVE THEM!!!!

I absolutely adore Dr Swenson and his office. I drive from Gilbert to Scottsdale to see him because of the quality of care that I receive from him and his staff. First off, I know if I make an appt, I won't be waiting for hours to see him. It won't take up my whole day. Second, his staff is a pleasure to see every time. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate Dr Swenson...he takes the time to listen to me and discuss my options.

I have been going to Dr. Swenson for a couple of years now, as I relocated from OH. All of my visits went fine until I really needed the doctor. I started experiencing pain in my rt hand and arm. I was informed by Dr. Swenson to do physical therapy. I was in pain, but I went just the same. I was told by the doctor that doing therapy was how he would get a better idea what was wrong. I went and continued for 3 weeks, after which time my pain really became unbearable, and my left hand and arm were hurting now too. I asked the therapist if he was any closer to a diagnosis? The therapist informed me that I had 4 more weeks of therapy to go. I told the therapist, wow, when do you think the doctor was going to tell ME that. I told the therapist that he would not see me again, as the pain was so great that I could not possibly continue. with this painful therapy. It took almost 2 weeks of pain, and 2 weeks of not being able to dress myself, and function normally before he sent a prescription to the pharmacy. I had phoned and left messages. I even went to his office and sat for 30mins. I did not see him, nor did he even return my desperate messages. I phoned later that week and left a message stating how I felt about him not answering me nor prescribing anything for my pain for so long. Since then I have been seen at the Mayo Clinic, and I was diagnosed with Carpol Tunnel and Bursitis. I am telling you the pain was awful. I just don't know how someone could have been so heartless, as to let someone suffer the way I did. I must add that his staff is wonderful, and have always treated me well.

Having just moved to Arizona, I was referred to Dr Swenson by my insurance company and I was impressed with his medical background. Being from northern california, I've heard of UCSF and its one of the best medical facilities in the country. Dr Swenson would make UCSF proud, he is sharp and intelligent with an excellent bedside manner. His demeanor is quiet yet he is engaging and thoughtful. His office staff was sweet and nice from the get go and I have not had any problems getting my test results or medications filled. In fact, on my first visit, I brought all my medications with me and Dr Swenson helped me sort through what I needed and gave me better samples. Dr Swenson and his staff are professional and efficient and it was an overall wonderful experience. Having relocated from California to Arizona, I have to say Dr Swenson is a diamond in the rough, a smart well-educated Dr that is as good as he is is a great find!

Nice, friendly, clean, super-efficient office. Overall pleasant experience, the office staff puts you at ease, they are so friendly. Dr is very knowledgeable without being condescending, I prefer that he takes the time to discuss my test results in person, he takes his time and is very reassuring. He came highly recommended and I agree!

My first visit was okay. The doctor was nice, albeit not very thorough for what was supposed to have been a full physical exam. But the problems began when the routine blood tests that he ordered came back with some sort of abnormality. The nurse practitioner called and told me that the doctor wanted to see me the following week to discuss my results. Concerned, I asked if there was any way that we could discuss them that day so that I wouldn't have to worry about them for several days. Her response was that the doctor didn't discuss test results over the phone, and that I would just have to wait until my appointment the following week. After several attempts to either be seen sooner or to obtain reassurance that perhaps this wasn't something urgent, I contacted another doctor who was willing to discuss my results. It turned out that the abnormality was very minor, and that I just needed to be retested prior to embarking on any type of treatment. But what a horrible thing that Dr. Swenson and his staff refused to set my mind at ease when they so easily could have! All that they had to do was to tell me that they'd leave another lab request for me at the front desk. Instead, they quite clearly were more interested in being able to bill my insurance company for an office visit than they were in my health and well-being! Moreover, the staff was rude, condescending and unhelpful. Sadly, I would recommend avoiding this practice at all costs!
