I called in a refill for medication on Thursday. Went to pick it up today. Was told by Walgreens they had not received my refill, even after faxing and calling the office twice.
I call the office and am told "I'm sorry, the doctor's not in on the weekends so we can't do anything."
Now, my medication is not life threatening. What if it had been? What if I needed heart medication?
The best part? They apparently don't keep their records up to date. I was started on Chantix in May. Prescribed the starter pack. A month later I refilled and received the continuation pack. Apparently this was not recorded in their record, so even if they COULD refill it, because the "prescription had been lax" they wouldn't have refilled it. I'm sorry, how is the fact you have incompetent staff my problem? I obviously refilled it. I have the prescription right here.

Sadly, I cannot get a refill and have to wait until Monday to deal with the staff/refill situation. I plan on transferring my records to another doctor, but I need my refill. I do not plan on returning to this office.

The doctor - he was a doctor. Alright, but obviously he and his staff are lacking.

I had been going to another doctor for several years and they were no longer available. We had always had good experiences with the doctors at the Hammond Clinic, so called them and they recommended Dr Jacover. Even though he is a younger doctor, he was excellent, listened carefully, helpful, and had the experience and expertise of somebody of an even older age. He was an answer to prayer as I am disabled and never thought I'd find another good doctor -- but I did in Dr Jacover!
