Negotiated a price, gave me a written quote $950.75 for extraction of my daughter's wisdom teeth. On the day of surgery upped the price. Refused to honor their written price. Kept my daughter waiting, in the treatment room, for over 30 minutes while the office manager argued the price and offered a payment plan for ...
the additional charge. My daughter has anxiety disorder, Dr Briggs knew this, and kept my daughter waiting until I finally relented and paid the addition $300+ dollars.

Bait and switch and unethical business tactics. Questionable allegiance to her Hippocratic oath (First do no harm). Brought the price issue to Dr Briggs attention, she told me if she charged me the amount of the written price she would be committing "insurance fraud". I called our insurance company and they said that was not the case. Sent Dr Briggs a letter informing her that she could charge anything she wanted as long as it was not "greater" than the insurance rate....discounts do not amount to fraud. Besides, I was not seeking a discount, but rather that the doctor honor her written quote to me.

Dr. Briggs staff only answers the phone one day a week, then they call you back to say they can't honor their appointments. Run in the opposite direction if you encounter this person.

My dentist is Dr. Kunze at the William Cannon office. He is AWESOME! I'm totally satisfied w/ his professionalism & understanding. He is a wonderful dentist & I would recommend him to anyone. His staff & insurance biller are another thing. The staff at this office is VERY rude! They do not greet you during sign in & if you talk to them on the phone, they are very ill mannered. The insurance biller has no idea what she is doing. I was quoted 3 different prices to have a crown, after i paid $480.00! She said that my insurance didn't cover a procedure & it was my responsibility. After reviewing the EOB & talking to my insurance, the practice had billed the claim incorrectly. They were trying to bill me for something that should have been written off or billed correctly. She told me that whatever the insurance denies, she bills the patient. Some denials require follow up & an appeal, like this denial did. I feel that because they have an inexperienced biller, many patients have been ripped off & overcharged.

We were new to town, and chose Rose dental off of a list of providers from our insurance company. I signed my whole family up for this practice. On our first visit, we got stuck behind a car wreck and were 10 minutes late for the first appointment of the day. The office was still empty, it was 8:10 am. and yet the receptionist told us my son had missed his appointment. I had to reschedule and let him miss another morning of school. My husband was next to go and he was told that his teeth required an extra long cleaning appointment, at a cost that was $100 over our regular cleaning coverage. This man has had his teeth cleaned every 6 months over the 20 years I've know him, and he's never been told he needed extra treatment time because he'd neglected his teeth. He left the office after the exam, and quickly changed dentists, without ever returning for the cleaning appointment. Rose Dental won't let new patients schedule an exam and the first cleaning together. They say they need to examine your teeth first so they can determine how much time to schedule and how much to charge you for a cleaning. After these two bad experiences with Rose Dental, I quickly found a new dental practice for the rest of our family.

The staff at Rose Dental are great. I have been seeing them for a few years and have never been disappointed or dissatisfied with their work. Dr. Lewis is great and has an excellent chairside manner. The hygenists are also great. Dan is very thorough and not scolding if you haven't flossed like you should. The only complaint I have is that they sometimes push their products a bit, especially whitening kits and other whitening services whether you need it or not. Their wait times are generally not more than 5-10 minutes and it's fairly easy to get an appointment when you need one.
