We started at PAHC with Dr Browning when my sone was 2 and we moved from NH. 5 years later and I would not change a thing. Our son has a chronic lung disease similar to CF and Dr Browning was the one who realized it after we had struggled for 2 years in NH. She made all of our specialist referrals and does not let them make any decisions about his care without her knowledge and input. When my daughter was born 19 months ago, I would not have thought to take her anywhere else. They are prompt with appts (although the phone may take a while to get through) and 7 days a week hours are unheard of anywhere saving lots of emergecy room copays. We love them and when Dr Browning went on leave Dr Friedman was amazing. He took on the case and followed through with everything...

We are switching after almost 3 years. They told me after 5 days of a very high fever with my oldest that "they had no idea what was wrong with her". My youngest has had a night time cough for the past 2 months, and still no answer. We have seen a few different docs in the practice, and all have no idea what is wrong. They say it is just a cough. My husband called once to make my youngest an appointment for a few days from then for the cough, and was told an appointment can only be made the day of the call.
We also do not like the fact that sick appointments are by call in basis. Meaning, if you can not get there until 2, you have to call just before that time. Say you call at 8:30, they will only give you what they have open. The receptionist at the front desk is very slow, and a bit rude. The phones are ALWAYS busy. There are 3 phone numbers to call for different things. Same day/emergency line (always busy), main number (busy as well), and record release/refills. Very confusing.
We have a new doctor as of this Monday.

Our family has used PAHC since our kids were born. They are professional and caring toward us and our children. They provide wonderful care and I would recommend them to new parents.

During the past couple of years my oldest son needed LOTS of medical care and Dr. Freedman and Dr. Posner were the best !! They both care deeply and are very thorough. My son is doing well now thanks in part to their excellent care and concern. Laura F.

I love and hate this place! I have had some really excellent care for my children here. My favorite doctor is Dr. O'Leary. He's very thorough and my sons like him. I do not like some of the office policies that the practice uses. My biggest complaint is that when I have a sick child I have to take the very next appt. they have available. So if they are booking for 11:00 a.m. and I can't get there until 2:00 p.m., they won't give me an appt. I have to keep calling back until I catch them booking for around that time! It is really inconvenient for parents. They assume if your child is sick you can bring him right in but they don't take into consideration that you may have other children with needs too! For this reason I wouldn't mind switching to a smaller, more friendly practice.

Dr. Freedman is a wonderful doctor. Very thorough and takes time to speak with the child and parents. He is very concerned with his patients and has even called us at home to check on our child.

very busy office, well staffed, pretty good at being on time. good location. good parking. organized for the most part. most of the docs are very caring and patient. office needs cosmetic improvements. office also needs two different waiting rooms--one for sick appointments and one for well visits. 830 walkin appointments are very conventient after a long night with a sick child.

Pediatrics of Hampden County has a very nice and caring staff. They were very caring when I brought my son in for medical care. We had to bring him in at night time. They looked at him right away. We were in and out quickly. They were quick and efficient.

All of my children have gone and still go to this practice for pediatric care. They are always friendly and caring. The doctors are thorough and follow up even on weekends.

We have been going to Pediatric Associates of Hampden County for the last 2 years or so. There is also an office in Westfield, which we go to. The office is very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the doctors are very pleasant. Any time I had a question I felt I was given a thorough response and was never made to feel that my question was inconsequential. Each time I have visited the Westfield office, the wait time was minimal. PAHC also has walk in and weekend hours.
