I do not normally write reviews but after reading the 1 start review i felt compelled so that others may be able to form a better opinion before making a decision about Dr. Cahill. I became infected with parasites while traveling in Brazil. After returning home I started to lose weight and became very weak. I was suffering from general malaise and went to see many doctors who perfumed exams from endoscopy, colonoscopy and one doctor went as far as wanting me to have an ERCP exam performed. This is an invasive exam. Fortunately for me I was referred to Dr. Cahill by a friend in the Archdiocese of New York. Dr. Cahill saved my life. On my first visit to Dr. Cahill I was near the end as I had already lost 65 lbs and was basically living off sugar and not sleeping for weeks. I had to force myself to continue breathing. In one visit, similar to what the 1 star reviewer described, Dr. Cahill identified three parasites I was infected with and within the hour of having seen him gave me the news and prescribed the medication that eradicated the parasites. Since that one visit I have seen Dr. Cahill several times when I have found myself in situations where I suspected I had a parasitic infection. Dr. Cahill is a brilliant doctor who able to do in one visit what many other doctors over many months had not been able to do.

Two doctors suggested that I visit Dr. Cahill for a parasitic infection that I'd been struggling with for 6 years. For the past years I have been taking pictures of parasites that I have found in my stool so that I could have actual proof for anyone with doubts about whether I have them or not. After sharing these pictures from my Flip camera with Dr. Cahill he said he wasn't sure if they were parasites which didn't surprise me as most allopathic doctors are in denial about health complaints even if there is actual proof.

Our conversation was very short before I was asked to change into a gown. The exam took 5-10 minutes. During the exam, I asked how long it would take before I would get results. He told me to call the following day. After taking blood, he asked me to hold the bandaid in place and walked out of the room. He never said good bye or gave instructions on next steps. I was left there for 20 minutes before the receptionist came to the door and told me that the appointment was over.

I subsequently called the following day and was told by Dr. Cahill that he did not find parasites and that the pictures I produced may have been food particles. These organisms that clearly look like whip worms could not be mistaken for food particles even by an imbecile. However, he suggested that I take a broad spectrum antiparasitic drug instead.

Interestingly I submitted Cahill's name to a health and wellness website a couple of years ago and was told by one of the members not to waste my time or money on him. Today, I feel like kicking myself in the rear for having been suckered into spending $500 instead of heeding the the free advice I got two years ago.
