I have had several skin conditions that I've gone to Dr. Maltz to resolve such as plantars warts and itchy red eyelids. After multiple visits (7) and lots of expense, none of my skin conditions were ever corrected. He rushes through the appointments and never checks carefully for cancerous moles. He just asks if any of my moles look different but doesn't bother to check my whole body. I'd recommend finding a doctor that actual cares.

Have been a patient for many years and he always has time for me and my family. Have even called him after hours and he always takes the time to call me back. When he's not available, his partner or PA is always available. I have always found the staff to be very accommodating and friendly for an office that is so busy. His center offers a wide variety of services for all your skin care needs.

PROS: Experience and credibility

After searching for a dermatologist and waiting 1 month to get in, I was disappointed by the service I received. I arrived at his office just before 9 AM and was home by 9:30 AM so the doctor did not not spend very much time with me. He spent less than 10 minutes with me.

I went in because I was concerned that I may have acne rosacea and I also wanted to learn more about moisturizers and sunscreen to use on my face which is sensitive. I was given a small pamphlet (about acne rosacea) by his assistant before he came in. When he did come in he told me that I did indeed have acne rosacea, gave me a very brief description of what acne rosacea is and what to avoid, told me to read the pamphlet, prescribed me a topical ointment, and sent me on my way. Though he asked if I had any questions, I felt rushed which made me forget the questions I had. When I did ask about products to use for sensitive skin he told me to talk to the front desk folks.

Similar to the other reviewer I felt that I was wasting his time and that he blew me off.

I believe that the primary purpose of his practice is cosmetic -- to help people reduce wrinkles, acne scars, etc. and not so much to help people who are coming in for basic medical skin (non-cosmetic) care such as having their moles checked, etc.

He was not worth the wait.

PROS:
CONS: Metered parking

I had not been to a dermatologist in a long time, and decided it would be a good idea to have my skin checked for signs of cancerous growths. My visit started with some questions I had accumulated over the years about skin care, and the doctor did a pretty good job answering my questions. But then I had to remind him that I was in there for a check up, and on his way out the door I stopped him and asked if he wanted me to get undressed so he could check my skin. He seemed reluctant to bother, but I did it anyway. Then I had to do the same with my pants. He didn't ask me to turn around to see my backside. I was trying to do the right thing to take care of my health, and he made me feel like I was wasting his time.
