.

I was treated here for the latter half of my childhood and teen years. He has always been a good dentist. I do have a couple of complaints/concerns though, and no longer receive treatment here as a result.

1. One of his hygeinists is extraordinarily rough. I bruise and bleed easily and profusely; a normal dental exam draws blood. Hers? Three rolls of cotton gauze. I refused to be seen by her.

2. The last four times I was in that chair, something new, expensive, and not-covered-by-insurance was wrong with my teeth. He's very up to date on the latest innovations in dental care; however, my gut is that he's too quick to recommend them, especially since insurance doesn't cover some of the more experimental procedures. The last straw was when I was told I was grinding my teeth due to an overbite (which has been questioned as even existing by another dentist) and needed a mouthpiece to wear at all times. I balked, as I work with John Q. Public and would not be able to do this, period. Much less cover the costs out of my own pocket.

He is a very good dentist, I just feel that he is too quick to recommend what I consider "extreme treatments" that arent covered by insurance.
