I have been seeing Dr. Martin for almost 3 years now, and she was the first gynocologist I ever went to. She always makes me feel so comfortable and never makes me feel stupid about any of my questions. Even though I'm sure she sees tons of patients a day, she always makes me feel like she has all the time in the world to talk about anything I am worried about or have questions about. She makes me feel like she cares whats going on in my life and when I was going through a rough patch, she even let me talk and cry to her about that. She also always reommends great doctors for any other problems that she can't take care of. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a wonderful doctor who cares a lot!

I have been a patient of Dr. Bakos for 15 years. She was highly recommended, and I have never regretted going to her for one minute! The entire practice is very professional. Dr. Bakos consistently receives mention in the "top doctors" section of D Magazine. This vote comes from physicians and nurses.

Frankly, I cannot imagine anyone saying she is "rude," as one or two reviews do. She is down to earth, bottom line. She tells it like it is. I would be her patient for life!

I believe Dr. Harris is fairly new to the practice. She is an outstanding doctor. There was a little wait for me to be seen but she eventually came herself to the door and called me. We went into her office and she asked the right questions and let me ask her questions. She was very thorough in her exam and I appreciated that. She's very personable. I had some complications after leaving the office, and called back to leave a message, she personally called me back herself and talked to me. I have NEVER spoken to my doctor by phone, its always the nurse, who needs to go ask the doctor, but she called me herself. Very lovely lady and I look forward to working with her in the future.

I absolutely love Dr. Amy Martin. When I moved to Dallas and was looking for a gynecologist, she was recommended to me. Initially, I was seeing her for annual exams and when I decided I wanted to get pregnant, she became a great resource. She has excellent bedside manners and doesn't sugar coat issues. She was on call when I delivered and that made me very happy. She was a great coach. During my pregnancy, I was seen by everyone in the practice at least one and all of them were great. Dr. Carter was on call the day after my delivery and he was great too! This practice is the best of the best!!

I have found Dr. Martin to be an excellent doctor--informed, personable, and respectful of her patients. She delivered my baby by c-section and did a wonderful job. Highly recommend her.

My only issue with this practice is the long time you almost always have to wait to see the doctor at scheduled appointments, but this is a common issue in GYN groups, as schedules are so variable.

I am in complete agreement about Dr. Bakos' rudeness. I was pregnant in 2003 with twins and had asked her if I was high risk and asked her to see a perinatologist, she told me that if I needed a perinatologist she would recommend me but that I was fine. I ended up having a lot of bleeding around week 12 while on a trip to Fl and was told by her nurse to go the hospital which I did. Dr. Bakos did not see me until my next scheduled appointment which was over 3 weeks later. At my next appointment my cervix had changed slightly but Dr. Bakos said nothing. 3 weeks later my water broke and I was delivering my 1st born son at 18 weeks and 2 days. Dr. Bakos was not present nor did she call me or express and condoloences. I then saw a perinatologist and was told I had an incompetent cervix and they put a stitch in to try to save the second baby. I was put on bedrest and upon my discharge from the hospital was told I had to visit Dr. Bakos a coulple of days later. I had to sit upright in her office for over an hour within 5 days of losing a child & being put on strict bedrest. I got very sick with 2 weeks after my loss and called Dr. Bakos office, spoke to whoever was on call who told me that I had the flu. Perinatologist on call thought the same and so I stayed home on bedrest, getting extremely sick. I was so sick that we called the office of Dr. Bakos again around 7 am and finally spoke to her and she chastised me and told me that with my condition, I needed to go to the hospital. It ended up that the infection was so bad that I lost my 2nd son that morning at 20w2d. For the second time, Dr. Bakos gave my care to someone else in her practice and although she was in the hospital, she could not care enough to drop by to see me until the following day.

Dr. Martin and Dr. Hayes did my two deliveries and they were both great. Dr. Martin delivered my 1st son (Collin) and she actually came to the hospital to see me when I delivered my 2nd son (Connor). Dr. Bakos, however, does not deserve to treat patients. I truly believe that it was her negligent care and callous treatment that made this experience one of the most painful experiences I could imagine.

I saw Dr. Martin when I was pregnant, and she was SOOOOO CARING! I absolutely loved her. I had a very rough pregnancy and delivery, and she walked me through every second of it. She and her nurses were always caring, and acted as if I was the only patient that she had, even though I knew that was quite the opposite. I would highly recommend Dr. Martin to any woman looking for an OB-GYN.

I've been visiting with Dr Martin for my wife's pregnanacy. We were looking for great bedside manners, intelligent responses to our questioning, logical cutting edge care and an overall comfortable experience .. we got it.
I give her my strongest recommendation.

I'm a nurse, so I'm very selective with the physicians that I choose to care for my family and myself. If they don't meet my standards of care or if there's a personality conflict, I don't get upset. I simply take my business somewhere else. When I became pregnant with my son, I started prenatal care with Dr. Hays. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The front office staff was always friendly and professional, whether I was coming in for an appointment or calling with a question. Joanna was great too. She always had a smile on her face and made me feel comfortable. When I first met Dr. Hays, my initial thought was "She's so young. I wonder if she knows what she's doing." Well, I firgured that out soon enough. She was fantastic! She was very thorough and caring. We developed a great rapport. By the end of the pregnancy, I had been seen by all of her collegues in case Dr. Hays wasn't present for the delivery. After meeting each of them, I realized that this is just a top notch group of people. I knew I'd be in great hands with any of them, but I really hoped that Dr.Hays would be there.I got my wish, but the delivery itself didn't go as well as I had hoped. I had complications and ended up in surgy. Physically, it wasn't a good experience at all. But, Dr. Hays was very supportive and reassuring. I have a happy and healthy son who is almost 4 year old now. Although some time has passed and the memory of being pregnant and labor/delivery is hazy, I still remember how well I was cared for. I will never forget what Dr. Hays said to me the following morning when she was doing rounds. She actually thanked me for letting her be a part of my experience and gave me a hug. I thanked her in return. Several months later, I met a retired OB-GYN that knew Dr. Hays. He said that during the last surgery he scrubbed in on, Dr. Hays was present. He referred to her as "a rare find of a great physician and an extraordinary person." I agreed with him completely.

From infertility, pregnancy with twins and chronic pelvic pain, Dr. Tracy Hays has managed my care with the utmost professionalism and care. I simply could not ask for a better doctor. She took me seriously at times that other physicians (outside of her practice) did not. She actually cares about her patients. I appreciate her so much that I wrote a post about her in my blog: www.raisingthree.blogspot.com. (August 2007)

During my pregnancy which involved hospitalization for preterm labor for 4 weeks, I was also seen by every physician in their practice and, without a doubt, they all are the cream of the crop. You are in excellent hands if you go with any of these doctors, although I admit I love Dr. Hays the most. She's precious.

Dr. Martin is callous, and this is the most horrible practice of doctors I've ever dealt with. Refused to treat me in an emergency over billing issue. Theses doctors are far more concerned with their bottom line than about their patients!

I am a relatively new patient of Dr. Carter, but he treats me like I've been seeing him forever. I was traveling on business in New Orleans recently and a medical condition I had (bartholin cyst) became infected while I was there. Thus, I had occasion to deal with Dr. Bakos, the doctor that was on call that weekend. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Bakos. She spoke with me several times on a Sunday while I was still in New Orleans, and I ended up going straight to the Baylor emergency room upon landing in Dallas. Dr. Bakos had called ahead and made sure that an examination room was readily available. I waited less than 10 minutes to get into triage, and Dr. Bakos was meeting with me in less than 20 minutes, and I had the surgery 30 minutes later. She was exceedingly nice and competent, and I felt 100% confident with her peforming the procedure. And now that it's over, I'm 100% satisfied with the results. Both she and Dr. Carter came by to see me first thing the next morning in the hospital, and throughout the entire ordeal, I felt like I had a great team of doctors looking after me. I can't say enough about these doctors, and I'm especially grateful to Dr. Bakos for operating on me on a Sunday evening without making me feel guilty. I've had not-so-pleasant experiences with gynecologists before, and Drs. Bakos and Carter are a great change of pace for me.

I am very fond of Dr. Hays. I was very sick Friday and wound up in Baylor Hospital. All of the nurses and doctors told me that she is one of the best in the biz and I couldn't agree more. She and her nurse Joanna are two of the most caring and helpful women I know.

I used "Carter Bakos Hays and Martin" for the pregnancy and delivery of my daughter. I personally saw Tracy Hays and would highly recommend her. The great thing about this office is that each doctor is well informed of your pregnancy so if there is a reason for them to see you they know what they are doing. Even though Dr. Hays treated me throughout my pregnancy, Dr. Carter is the person who delivered my daughter (on-call) and he was AMAZING...very supportive and encouraging...THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!!

It is widely known that this is the best practice in Dallas. If one of the doctors was honest with someone more power to them!
My doctor is Dr. Amy Martin and she is the most caring, intelligent and thorough doctor I have ever met. This whole practice specilizes in high risk obstetrics. I have seen each doctor in the practice and I would recomend each and every one of them. Many of my friends have moved to this practice and say it's the best thing they have ever done.

PROS: Best Ob/Gyn practice in Dallas

I like Amy Martin. I feel that she respects my intelligence and works with me to find the appropriate diagnostic/treatment options for my health. I would recommend her to any woman who likes to be informed about their health decisions.

PROS: one stop shop
CONS: the office can be frenetic at times

I was very dissatisfied with Dr. Bakos. She was very rude at each appointment I had with her. She made rude comments about my weight (which was only slightly high). When she delivered my baby, she acted as though she had better things to do and said I was doing everything wrong. The billing office was rude as well. However, the sonographer and the other doctors (and all of the nurses) were very nice -- friendly, helpful, etc.

PROS: most of the staff
CONS: Dr. Bakos & billing office.
