I was truly surprised to find so many poor reviews for Dr Caso. She has been wonderful and the whole office staff is super friendly and professional. I have never waited to get into my appointment for more than a couple of minutes. I have not needed to go in on a sick call yet but did have to make a Sunday afternoon emergency call to which I was baffled to find her answer her cell phone and not to have to wait for hours and communicate through a relay answering service.

The office is super clean, wonderfully decorated and loaded with lots of toys and books to keep your children occupied while they are NOT waiting.

Yes, there are electrical outlets above the exam tables in Dr Caso's office as there are in most physicians offices, in that chance that she may need to actually use an electrical device to examine or treat someone. The same rule applies here as everywhere else.. Don't let your kid play with electrical sockets.

She is notoriously on a more holistic approach which is part of the reason I chose her as my pediatrician. If you are looking for a good doctor you can call at 6pm and have them send you in a scrip for some chemical to pump into your child without justifiable cause, Dr Caso is probably not for you.

A lot of the bad reviews i read say that she rushes and doesn't answer questions but i have yet to have any of my questions go unanswered. She is very quick natured but she is also very busy (because she is an excellent doctor!). Her fast tempo approach also keeps her from being 45+ minutes backed up like most other physicians i've dealt with and waiting 45 minutes passed my appt time with a sick child is not on my list of things to do. However, she is very thorough and never lets me leave without asking if i have any other questions. If you expect your pediatrician to sit down with you for tea and biscuits or to order up antibiotics every time your kid sneezes then she is not the doctor for you. But if you're looking for a child friendly, clean pediatric office with a friendly, knowledgeable physician who genuinely cares about the well being of your child then you should call Dr Caso. She is Fabulous!

I really like Dr. Caso and her staff. As a nurse, I felt the office was clean, staff was nice and easy to get appointments. Dr. Caso is on the holistic approach. She won't prescribe antibiotics if you don't need them. She does have a fast paced personality, but will answer your questions. I have taken my kids there for 3 years. My children have yet to need antibiotics. She has correctly diagnosed them with viral infections that went away by themselves. She has never encouraged me to buy anything other than "whole food vitamins at the health food store". She is good with my kids, they like her AND lollipops/stickers at the end. :)

So glad we changed doctors to Lisa Caso. She is kind, courteous, answers our questions pointedly with no drama, and delivers extremely great care.Office staff is outstanding.Office is clean.
She does promote the use of herbal treatments but does not force them on anyone, everyone os free to make their own choice. She correctly diagnosed my son with RSV and helped us get the proper medical equipment to treat him for it.
Our previous doctor at ABW pediatrics swore our daughter had a huge head and water on the brain and tried to get us to go in for all sorts of tests and costly brain scans,we changed to Dr. Caso and she reassured us our child is fine and tests were not necessary.
We are given formula samples each visit, our questions are answered clearly and without drama. It is a busy office with lots of sick visits and well visits each day, but she gives equal time to each patient. We have our questions prepared beforehand, and realize her time is important and others are waiting to be seen. Her practice is very efficient.
She also correctly saw that our son needed surgery for retractile testicles and recommmended a great surgeon in Allentown. Problem solved within 6 months.
The office does charge for school forms but I have found many dr/dentist/etc offices do now due to the sheer amount of forms needed for schools, disability claims, etc. that require the attention of the office staff and dr.
She is exceedingly polite and professional (as well as is the office staff) and we are lucky to have her as our kids' doctor. I hope we never need to change. We have been through 2 other pediatricians, ABW and St Luke's KidsCare, both with disastrous results. Her sense of humor and ease with us and our children is outstanding. We could not ask for a better pediatrician!

I am not bringing my son back to this woman, we're done with her as of this week. My son has been her patient since he was a newborn & I don't know why I didn't switch yrs ago. She told me that Flintstones vitamins are "crap" & go buy everything from health stores-her words verbatim WTH?, promotes all natural instead of actual medicine most of the time, charged me money for the book required to document vaccinations since I lost the first one I guess I was being punished, & now wants to charge me money just to fill out a form my son needs to start school, also wouldn't send it to me in the mail unless I sent them a pre stamped & paid envelope-TACKY. Poor bedside manner, rushes us in & out like cattle, never really talks to us as if she's late for something, suggested my son be tested for autism because he was a late talker & now he's fine & talks up a storm obviously with no autism, made him go into speech therapy which had no benefit to him & they were rough with him, responded to my son still being in pull ups as if he had just pulled all his clothes off made me feel bad & on the spot because he was late at potty training, seems aggravated if we call her emergency cell # for medical emergencies, scolds if we go to ER instead of waiting to see her, has exposed electrical outlets up against the exam tables where kids sit, used to have bottles of natural medicines near the door to get people to purchase from her, forgot about my son's surgery for his hernia, wouldn't medicate for a double ear infection the poor kid was in pain the whole time, & tons more. Seems like she's more into the natural healing instead of medicating, I'm not all for medicating everything but some things for specific illnesses DO need antibiotics at times & it's like pulling teeth you'd think we were killing the kid if we gave him something as far as she's concerned. I'm not a doctor, I'm a mom but some of the things she's done in the past just seemed weird to me & set off some red flags. One of those gut instinct things but I guess I pushed it aside because I rarely ever second guess a doctor since I'm obviously not one but I left that office every single time with caution & confusion but brushed it off until now. Only thing I will give her credit for is she gives vaccinations quickly which helps get it over with instead of prolonging it, THAT she is good at, but everything else forget it. My son had a very very bad chest cold a few years ago, sounded terrible & almost sounded like croup to me b ut again I'm not doctor, I was worried it would go into pneumonia because it got worse daily (again, no degree here), she wouldn't give him a thing for it would not suggest I give him anything for it & not to bring him back unless he had an enormously high fever. Another time his fever went way up very high & they told me to bring him into the office LATER that day, I had to have an ambulance bring him to the ER & the nurses had to manually all afternoon bring his fever down & wouldn't let him come home untl it got lower, it ws one of those RIGHT NOW emergencies & they wanted me at the doc's office musch later in the day even though I told them how high his fever was & the day later when I did bring him into Caso's office I told her what the thermometer said & she didn't b elieve me & said it couldn't have been that high......now why would I lie about this???? again, wth??? I guess the catalyst was asking for a pre paid envelope from me to mail me paperwork for my son & charging me just to fill out the paperwork, this helped make the final decision to find a new doc.

Where to begin... Firstly, she recommends raw (unpasteurized) cows milk for 12 month olds (very very dangerous). Secondly, her bedside manner is horrible, very rushed, unprofessional and argumentative. God forbid you disagree with her or question anything she says. Even when confronted with several specialists who disagree with her diagnosis she will continue to stand by her (incorrect) diagnosis. My husband and I were scolded for seeking second opinions and for doing any of our own research, even on her "approved" websites. When we finally took our son to a very well known and respected dermatology practice for a weeping birthmark (that she had inocrrectly diagnosed), we found out that he had a staph infection in the birthmark which was causing the weeping. They prescribed an antibiotic which cured the staph infection. The next time we saw Dr. Caso, we were scolded again for giving him an antibiotic. Because apparently, a staph infection on a three month old baby will just take care of itself. Unprofessional. Do not use this pediatrician. For your own sanity and for the health and wellbeing of your child.

It amazes me how much parents need their child on meds rather than to just stay home with them. I don't know Dr. Caso but am looking into a pediatrician who believes that your body is an amazing machine that literally takes care of many of its own ailments. There is nothing wrong with getting sick once in awhile, it's your body's way of building its own antibodies. She's one of a few who believes in spacing out vaccines and using mercury free...that in itself is awesome...b/c so many things can go wrong otherwise. I teach the very young, and see so many problems getting worse over the years. Something is wrong and I feel that it is in the medical field where many drs. just try to make the parents happy. It should be all about the child. Wellness Doctors will really educate you on just letting the child's body deal with it. She may be abrupt...maybe b/c she is trying to take care of your little one, not your needs. I give her thumbs up without ever meeting her!

My children have been patients of Dr. Caso for 8 years. She has seen us through thick and thin. She has helped my children tremendously, and cured them of illnesses other doctors could not. My children are and stay healthy now thanks to all of her wonderful advice. Sorry to say we only now need to see her yearly now, but we love her!

I was a fan of Dr. Caso until last night. It was a little after 5 o'clock when my 2 year old son started to cry in excruciating pain from an ear infection. I called Dr. Caso's office and she was still seeing patients that had 5:00 appointments. She was in the office. I explained to the secretary the severity of my son's pain and all she said was that we would have to wait until tomorrow morning. Dr. Caso won't see anyone else. It takes 5 minutes to diagnose an ear infection and write a script for antibiotics. I brought him to my family doctor and very quickly had a scrip for antibiotics. I was truly taken back that she refused to see him. I have never heard of a pediatrician that wouldn't see one more patient. I guess she was late for dinner and I hope it was worth it. Both of my kids will never go back.

She's very good, albeit a little gruff, when you have an appointment but don't ever count on her in an emergency. Also, don't let your kid get sick in the summer time. She only works about 16 hours a week.

Dr. Caso is awesome, she always catches things other docs miss. my 3 kids love her and I can't image taking them anyplace else. She is always ontime and never keeps people waiting. Staff is friendly and great. Office is super clean. She definitely gets two thumbs up here. I have a child with Asthma and he is maintained and followed very closely. I have called her on her cell at 10 pm and she picks up the phone, same on the weekends. Who does that!! Can't find such dedication anywhere else. Even calls in when on vacation. She is terrific!!!

I wrote my review & it conveniently got erased from this web site. I won't go into all the details again, but here's the short story. I took my son to Dr Caso because he was coughing alot. On both visits, she only focused on respiratory symptoms despite her saying his chest sounded clear & my telling her that I suspected gas, possibly reflux aggravating the issue. She COMPLETELY ignored my input & because of that he was in pain for a month, until I took him to another pediatrician who prescribed zantac. He also now had a dbl ear infection, possily due to untreated reflux. The first night on zantac was 100% better, 5 days in he is back to his old self. She wouldn't listen solely because she doesn't want to admit that she's wrong. She was also nasty & unproffessional when I tried to ask for her help. This Dr is not for anyone who values their children's well being.
