DO NOT BUY THIS GROUPON! I bought mine in November and still have not been able to make an appointment. I've called at least 5 times, and went in person three times. They have called me back once, while I was at work, and left a rude sounding message. I wish I had read the reviews before buying the groupon. Apparently a lot of people have had the same problem. And those that actually can get an appointment have said the salon is run down and the service is terrible. I'd rather write off the $25 than ever go here for anything. Very disappointed that groupon still advertises them with all of the negative reviews.

Let me just start by saying I would never go back nor recommend this salon to anyone! A girlfriend and i purchased a groupon deal for a manicure pedicure- first it was nearly impossible to make an appt as previous reviews stated everytime you call you get a recording we had to leave over 3 messages to finally get a call back. The salon is old and dirty needs to be fixed up badly. I would most likely assume if the salon ever got checked it would fail on cleanliness!! My manicure looks like my 3 year old nephew did it and my pedicure was in a dirty chair done by a woman who I'm pretty sure just learned how to give one that morning.

Very confused when I read the previous reviews...this small town salon is amazing...Dawn and Debbie are wonderful at what they do. I've been to both of them and my hair always looks beautiful without breaking the bank. I also recently purchased a coupon for a manicure and pedicure. The service was personal and professional. Each client has their own packet of implements that are out of the sanitizer. So clean and professional. Thank you for staying small and personal instead of pretentious.

Well, we had a similar experience to the ones that I read here. I, also, had a "groupon" , actually 2 of them (I bought one for my daughter) and everytime I called I would get a recording. I finally got so fed up that I actually went into the salon to make an appt. I was told at that time that I had to call!! Unbelievable!! When I told her that I had been calling and only got a recording...she called someone and was told I would get a return call. When they finally fit us in, we were told our appt's would have to be 9:30 and 10am in the morning on a Sat. Well, we got there early, about 9:15 or so, and even though the hours posted said open at 9 am, the doors were locked. We waited until 9:50 before someone showed up.....no apologies at all!! My daughter and I just wanted a day together, so made the best of it....very run down place, very ugly "foot spa" built into a cement brick hole. So, just to give the place a second chance (plus our groupon was for 5 visits each). We made a second appt before leaving that day. This time, we were the ones that were late....only 5-10 minutes, traffic was bad and as the "pedicures" were so quick the last time, our appts were for 6:30 and 7pm. We were there less than 1/2 hour for both the previous time. When we walked in the door, same girl who was late....stated "you're late", I said "only 5 minutes" and then she said "10 minutes"...well, needless to say, I didn't keep my mouth shut and just said "Well, you were over 20 minutes late last time" and that shut her up. We got out VERY quick pedicure and both decided it wasn't worth the aggrivation to use the rest of the groupon. Wasn't even worth the discounted price.

I definitely learned my lesson when buying coupons for a mani/pedi. I bought a Living Social voucher for the "traditional 45-minute mani/pedi" and I was there for over an hour. The woman who did my nails, although extremely nice, kept disappearing and I was left waiting. She rushed through the pedicure (barely any scrubbing at all) and did the same for the manicure. When I left, there was nail polish underneath of each of my fingernails. By the next day, half of it had already chipped off. My toenails have held up so far, but they look like I could have painted them myself. The entire experience was disappointing and I was shocked to find the regular price of this is $56. I don't know who in their right mind would pay that because it is not even worth what I paid for my coupon. I will never return to this salon.

I recently visited this salon for a 45 minute"traditional" manicure/pedicure. I purchased a living social coupon a few months back and was really looking forward to a new place and a pleasurable experience. However, my visit was far from that! I tried scheduling an appointment on several occasions and was unable to get in. With the expiration date fast approaching, I took whatever date and time they could give me (Evening hours and second to last appointment of the day). The place looked very cute from the outside but very small and old on the inside. I think they are trying to go with the antique theme, but to me was seen as very dirty. There was one girl working there, who was very nice however not a certified nail technician by any means Her job title is a hairdresser, but told me she does this too if needed. I was asked to pick out a color, during that time she was setting up the pedicure station. Then I was totally blown away, they had a hole cut out in the floor and the girl placed a spa foot bath with hot water and bubbles filled from the sink (one that could be purchased at Target or Walmart)I couldn't believe it...I probably should have left then!! She asked me to soak my feet and left me for about 15 minutes. When she returned, she took off my nail polish, cut and filed my toes and painted them with the new polish...thats it!! I also noticed that none of the items she was using were sterilized, that should have been another alarm for me to leave.... Off to the manicure, soak your fingers and then began the same process....both which I could have easily done at home. VERY disappointed and definitely will NOT be returning.

I was just there because of a coupon for a "traditional mani/pedi". I paid $27 for what was a $54 value. By the name of the salon, I guess I expected something a little "upscale". Making the appointment was difficult because I kept getting an answering machine, even during their business hours. After 4 tries at phone tag, I was told they were completely booked but I could be put on a waiting list. When I said I'd go somewhere else, they found an opening. There was only 1 girl there for most of the first hour I was there, and she was very nice. I'm satisfied with the work, but the salon needs a REALLY, REALLY good cleaning. There's a difference between antiques, and just plain old. The curtains and windows were dirty (cobwebs, too), and the carpet was worse. I'm used to seeing the instruments come out of a sterilizer, but there was nothing like that in view. Hopefully it was in the back room somewhere. I won't be going back there for ANY deal. I didn't see anything about my service that would have been worth $54.

I bought a groupon for a mani-pedi and thought I'd give this place a try. From the outside it looked very cute. The place was empty except one girl working. I asked to use the bathroom before we started and the restroom did not have any toilet tissue or SOAP to wash your hands...it wasn't like the soap container was empty, there wasn't a soap container!! (only one bathroom on premises) I should've left right then. But, since I had already purchased the Groupon and drove all the way to Barrington,I thought I might as well get what I came for. Although the girl doing my nails was a lovely girl, she is a hairdresser, NOT a nail tech and does not know what she is doing! She skipped steps, didn't cut all my cuticles down and I had polish on the skin around my toes nails! Ugh! It looked horrible!! I left there and immediately went to a nail salon and had them redone. So, in the end, it cost me double what it would've cost me. I should've listened to my first instinct and left. Save yourself time and money...go somewhere else for your nails!

I was highly unimpressed with this salon and spa. I bought two groupons for a spa manicure and pedicure. I was not happy with the services at all. There was only one nail artist, so my mother and I couldn't get our nails done together. She was very unprofessional in the fact that while we were getting a pedicure, her mother and her child came to visit her and stated for a long time. Nothing for nothing, but that was ridiculous. Additionally, the choices of nail polish were not very abundant. After the services, we called and spoke to the manager, who informed us of what services we should have received... and the nail artist missed a few steps in the process. The manager was very nice and understanding and offered us another manicure and pedicure but we declined, seeing as we would have had the same girl since she was the only one. All in all, we were very disappointed with the services and will not be returning to champagne salon and spa.

I have been a client of Champagne for at least 6 years...The service is professional, courteous and they do my hair like no one ever could..Thats why I am still a client. The salon is a neighborhood salon that is comfortable, affordable and professional....the work is world class in a small -non pretenious atmosphere....GREAT!!

I have gone to cham-payne for three years now and love it. I first went because it was close to my home. Now I will not go anywhere else. I have never had a bad haircut there and I also go there every four weeks for a color touch-up. Very comfortable and friendly.

I get to go to Europe for my salon needs without ever taking out my passport. Professional, intimate, stylish and warm all describe my salon Champagne experience. My hair has never been more lovely nor has my perfectly groomed eyebrows ever been so attractive. Thank you Debbie and beautiful staff for caring about how I look.

A few years back, I had carpal tunnel and elbow surgery a few days before Christmas, I went to the Cham-Pagne salon to get my hair washed, cut and styled, since I was unable to shower yet. The women who took care of me were wonderful and so accomodating. I will never forget how kind and concerned they were and how they went out of their way for me to look beautiful even when I wasn't feeling my best. 3 years later!!! Thank You, I won't forget

I recently found a salon in a small town called Barrington. I thought the prices would be high but they were very competitve with other higher salons. The haircut and color I received is unbelievable and it is repeated each time I visit the salon. I am offered bottled water or coffee and fresh pastries are present on the weekends.
A great fine tucked away in a small town.....
