As a physician myself, I was appalled with my experience with Dr. McKnight who was covering for my doctor, Dr. Eble. For this reason, I almost did not write this, but I decided to because my heart is heavy and I feel that I need to share my experience.
When Dr. McKnight entered the room, he did not speak. At that point, he told me that he knew "all that he needed to know about me" and for me to "scoot at the end of the table" for my examination. The gynecologic exam was painful and he did not seem to care. It was obvious that he did not want me to speak, not even to explain or give more details or the history of my complaints (which are very complicated and he should have wanted to know about them). He never gave me an answer- just told me "not to worry about it", left the room and did not say goodbye. I left worried, violated, still in pain and very disappointed.
It was a total waste of time and I would not see this doctor if I were you. Please see Dr. Amy Eble who is the antithesis of what I described above. Dr. McKnight reminds of the way physicians used to be 50-60 years ago before professionalism was an issue.
In general, this medical practice is super busy and does not have much time to spend with patients. It is probably most appropriate for routine ob/gyn care. If you have an unusual or difficult gynecologic issue, it might not be the best place for you.
