Dr. Rosen is, by my account, one of the best surgeons around. I had a fusion: 2 fusions on my neck and 1 fusion on my back. It??s been excellent! He wouldn??t do any more then what he needed to do ?? he is very much a doctor who believes in conservative measures. He will not do surgery unless he really feels it??s warranted. And he is very knowledgeable. I spent 4 years looking for a doctor that could help me get out of my pain. I have looked all over L.A., Santa Barbara, you name it. They all kept on saying no, no, no, you??re just too complex of a patient. So no one else could even come close because my situation was too complex. But Dr. Rosen said that he thought he could help me and he definitely did. He got me from being in a wheelchair to the way I am now. He??s excellent!! He??s the only doctor that I have found that is capable of being very courteous, very caring. I never felt any attitude with him. Some doctors feel that they??re the best and they act it, but he never was that way. He is a very humble man. His staff is very good too, very caring. When I go there I know that I??m going to be treated respectfuly. They are all wonderful. I won??t go to anybody else because I trust him and I trust his judgement.

Dr. Rosen is tremendous! He has a great sense of humor and yet he??s very factual. He tells you exactly what you need to do and he takes a lot of his time, enough to really put you at ease. And he was always available. My last surgery was a post fusion L6 and 7 with instrumentation disc removal and replacement of the disc with titanium. The next day after the surgery, Dr. Rosen sat me on the edge of the bed and I started crying. He said, ??are you in pain? Can I turn the pain medicine up?? And I said, ??no, this is the first time I??ve been without pain in months.? And it??s a miracle! I??ve been really pleased with his care with all 3 surgeries and I don??t have the pain anymore. He??s just really, really good. He??s really professional, but still human. That??s an unusual combination for someone that high up and who has that level of competence. I wouldn??t ever hesitate to go back to him. The Lord has been really good to us in having a surgeon like him.

Dr. Rosen ? gave me my options and we chose to go with scaffolding spinal fusion. I had to be out there for a month? See I had a disc implant L5-S1 and it was a disc that malfunctioned. After almost a year ? none of these doctors up here, even the guy that inserted it said, "I don't know how to fix it." I went on the web ? I was desperate. I searched the internet and I found two doctors in the US that had fixed these particular discs when they broke. One ? in Texas, the other one was Dr. Rosen? I e-mailed both of them my situation, how I was in excruciating pain and the doctors here and even the doctor who put the disc in do not know how to fix it.It was not even 24 hours that went by and Dr. Rosen returned my e-mail. He said, "? I am on vacation but if you would overnight me your films, I'll go home tomorrow and review them." Dr. Rosen cut his vacation short to help me, he went home and reviewed the films and he called me, personally called me, and he said, " ? I cannot treat you over the phone but let me tell you what is going with your disc." I said, "Great because nobody here could tell me." He said that it had broken and it strung open. It was open? He said that he did not want to alarm me but this could possibly kill you. At that point he said his recommendation was if you could come out and see me, we can do a thorough investigation and find out what we can do to correct the situation. I made arrangements to fly from Maryland to California with my wife and Dr. Rosen had given me the courtesy of most of his day. He spent most of his day with me. Dr. Rosen is outstanding! The guy has the best bedside manner. I just cannot say enough nice things about him!

I had two procedures done with Dr. Rosen. The first one was a facetectomy I guess it was called where he had to go in and remove and repair . . . I had two facets that were fractured and fused around four spinal nerves. Dr. Rosen is very professional, direct and Straight to the point. Probably just his bedside manner? allowed me to feel he had my best interest in mind. He did 100%! more than I ever thought would happen. I Definitely would? refer him and go back for another procedure, if I had to.
