.

I shopped this store recently. I was surprised. I am disabled and have not shopped there for some time. I decided to go in because I wanted to pick out and order a cake for my daughter's birthday and get some potatoes. The bakery was closed. When we went over to try to get someone to help us at the deli, there was nobody available. We didn't get to order the cake. The potatoes we wanted were sold out. So, we got the potatoes for 3.99. We thought about getting some sweet corn, but it was also sold out. While shopping for some sour cream for our potatoes, we noticed milk was on sale for 88 cents a half gallon with a purchase of ten dollars or more. The sign was misleading as it was very close to the half gallons of chocolate milk. I decided to purchase two half gallons of chocolate milk because I thought it was on sale. While checking out, I had to wait for the cashier to end her personal conversation with the customer ahead of me. My back was aching really bad, and I had to keep pulling my young daughter out of the candy bars. After she ended the conversation, she did not even greet me. She started to ring me up without even asking for my Advantage card. I actually had to offer it to her. When I noticed the half gallons of milk rang up for 2.49, I was shocked. I could not see paying that much for a half gallon of milk when I can buy a full gallon at Walmart for less than 3.00. I asked her to take the milk back and explained how misleading the advertising in the dairy dept. was. She showed me the ad for the week. I don't read the weekly ad for Beuhler's. I was going to stay quiet, but since I was made to feel stupid about the milk, I decided to inform her that she rang up my potatoes incorrectly. She overcharged me by 1.00. Sure enough, when she checked called the produce dept., they were advertised for 3.99 back there. She did not apologize. When I approached the manager about my shopping experience, he was somewhat defensive and did not resolve the problem at all. He also made me feel inadequate. He could have offered to take my cake order and to mark the signs clearly in the dairy dept. He also could have apologized. I plan to get my daughter's birthday cake from Dairy Queen now. In closing, attention to detail, kindness, and prompt, friendly customer service are what customers are looking for. These were definitely lacking.
