What a fantastic care-giver and team. I have been a patient of Dr. Ellermeyer's since 1990. I see him only every year or so. The Greece location of Reed Eye Associate is not convenient for me but the staff and the facilities are top notch.

After being a customer at Empire Vision for years, I wanted to switch to a smaller, more personal eye care facility. What I found was RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. My first phone call was a very pleasant one and I was accommodated with an appointment that suited my needs. Once there, I had to wait close to 45 minutes PAST my scheduled appointment time. On top of that, the assistant, or whatever her title is, was RUDE, as was the reception area. When I made my appointment I was clear I was a new patient and I was made to feel completely STUPID because when I told her the brand contacts I have been wearing, she had not heard of them, therefore I HAD to be wrong. There could be no such thing. Well, I thought maybe I was wrong, but come to find out, I was not the one who was wrong. And then I did not bring my glasses. I guess I should have? Well, I would not know that unless someone had told me do so when making the appointment. Of course, if they had told me that when I checked in, I could have run home to get them about 7 times in the 45 minutes I had to wait for my appointment. And it gets better, so they don't have my contacts there (you know, the ones that don't exist) so they give me a sample to try out. Well, I gave them a shot and I hate them. They are not comfortable, they dry out quickly and they are a constant pain. (I should mention that I have never had any problems with the contacts I have worn before, you know, the ones that don't exist). Anyway, I call to get new contacts and was told I would have to wait and someone would call me back. Well, here I am 4 days later, and NO CALL BACK. Big shocker, I know. So I call this morning, and I get an I'm Sorry, but I handed it to them personally. And then two seconds later I get an, oh your doctor has been on vacation for 10 days. Really, how could you hand the message to them personally then? Do you have super powers that we don't know about. OK, I am done ranting. But don't go here. Terrible service, no call backs and RUDE.

I purchased glasses for myself and found the doctors to be very knowledgable, although I thought the prices for glasses are a little high. My son also has been fitted contacts and had a very good experience with them. I would continue to use them, but I'd shop around for more competitive pricing before making a purchase.

I switched to Family Eye Care after going to the same eye doctor for 20 years---and I am VERY glad I did. I absolutely LOVE their staff. They were extremely patient with my daughter when she got her contacts, and were genuinely interested and excited about her selection of glasses! It is hard to find care as good as this.

I saw these eye care professionals briefly. While they seemed knowledgeable on eye care they lacked in service. The staff, especially at the reception desk, left little to be desired as far as customer service. I switched because of this lack of service and sometimes customer abuse.
