I have both my kids going there and we have seen the lady doctor that works there, I think she is a nurse practitioner. I never had an issue with her, as a matter of fact she was wonderful and very into what she is doing. But today,(Abby is sick) we went to the doc and we seen him. He really pissed me off the second he walked in. He only really acknowledged Abby and didn't really talk to me even though I was the only one in there with her. He also creeped me out. He made her lay down, (with me next to her of course) he looked at her nose, ears, throat and belly, but as he did that he asked her, "What's in there? Chicken Nuggets?" (pointing to her belly) Then he looked up at me. I said nope. And he said, looking me in the eye, "That is the worst thing you can give your child." I responded, "Well lucky for her I cook home made meals." Then he started to talk to Abby again and said, "You look four, are you four? Four is a good age...I like 3, 4 and 5. Six is just to old...." He was really close to her and sitting on the table with her as she was laying there. I had my hand on her chest and was looking at him with fire in my eyes because it kind of looked like he was looking at her as if he like to touch little girls. So I stepped in closer and sat her up and he moved away. Then he told me she has a cold and to keep giving her Pediacare medicine. Then instead of asking if I had any questions he walked out the door and said, call the office if you have any questions. I thought I may have been overreacting at first but I still filed a complaint with tricare about it because I felt really creeped out in the pit of my stomach.

"I have to say I place my care in a doctor that isn't above, or ignores a parents concern"
Well said! I have to agree that Dr. Martin's bedside manner and general knowledge has taken a firm dive. I went to him when I was a child and my daughter has been going to him off and on since she was born... thirteen years. My last few visits have left a great deal to be desired. Small office, small staff & a large number of patients waiting for substandard service. Last month during a checkup (we won't even begin to discuss how unconcerned he was about the issues I took my daughter in there for). He made inappropriate comments concerning myself and my daughters weight... we are both slightly above average... definitely nowhere near the obesity statistics he would periodically comment about during the unusually long visit (especially since the wait had been long for us and there was an incredibly full waiting room). We were more than a little concerned about his constant reference to monkeys. His jokes & examples belittled certain groups. His avoidance of medical & prescription issues leave a patient concerned with his qualifications... to be honest all of that negativity to include his personality & attitude made sure our next medical visit will be in a positive environment & opposite culture... stable, compassionate, knowledgeable, down to earth, disciplined & structured office whose staff and physicians need no direction in the appropriate care of patients.

Both of my kids see the nurse practitioner here and she is WONDERFUL!! She truly cares about her patients and does what she can for them. There is normally a wait but it is well worth it.
