I searched quite a bit for a good doctor when I moved to this area. Dr. Loew is excellent. She is very thorough and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a PCP.

WOW! I never knew what thorough care was before! I have never had a Dr take so much time with me. I understand that because of a physical that takes 45 mins that she can only see so many patients per day! Other docs for a physical spend 15 mins. In response to another post by Mark, yes she gives such excellent care that how can she put in EVERY sick visit per day especially the NONserious ones. That is what the triage nurse does at the office just like the ER. I am thankful for the care that she gives and realize that serious illness or symptoms can not be seen in an office setting due to lack of testing ability and much be seen by the ER. Coming from a business career myself I understand that it is NOT a walk in. If that is what you want then go to one!
GREAT DR!

She is a very thorough doctor, who really spends the time to get all the input before determining what actions, treamments should be undertaken. Even just a physical gets the same level of care and leaves you with a high confidence that you are not just another body through the office, but and individual, with unique attributes, and that your health is as important to them as it is to you.
Now for the downside, getting an appointment can be difficult on short notice. If you tend to make lots of unplanned visits to your doctor, even for simple things like a minor injury, or minor illness, and expect to just be able to call the office and have them squeeze you in..fah-getta-about-it that won't happen. You'll likely get a call back from the doctor assistant who will provide some advise, then schedule for an appointment a few days later...and if you still feel like you need to be seen after you have been waiting for your appointment date, then, your good to go. We find that many times we don't need to see the doctor after waiting 2-3 days to get in. The upside is you save on the co-pay, and skip the appointment. The concern is always that if what you have really was the beginning of something more serious, that delay could be a critical factor. What they will always tell you is if it serious or gets worse, go to the Emergency Room. For us that's not really what we like to hear and it puts the patient in the uncomfortable position of feeling like they may be over stating their symptoms, don't want go to the ER without a real compelling certainty that this is serious enough.
So in general, a GREAT DOCTOR, no doubt, but free access on a moments notice is not realistic.

Spends a good deal of time talking with her patients and is diet savvy. I found the doctor very easy to talk with, she will spend the time to explain all the tests that are given in detail without being defensive or condescending.
