The negative reviews are so unfair to not respond. I have seen this doctor for years and she has assisted me in regaining my health and has radically lowered my viral load from HCV. She listens and she concentrates on her treatments while giving her patients an atmosphere that is calming and encouraging. She is a woman of her word. She follows through with her care and is available in a crisis. The people who were bold enough to write negative reviews were not seeing the woman I have for many years.

I feel compelled to write this to balance the unfortunate and inflamed comments made by other patients about Dr. Deroin.

My experience of her and her practice was impeccable.

Things can happen in any practice, and some patients will blame the doctor, and it is often difficult to really tell what happened.

I only found this site because I went to make an appointment today
and needed the phone number. These comments did not dissuade me from seeing Dr. Deroin, as I must base my choices first on my own personal experience. ANd my personal experience of Dr. Deroin, her care and her office is very, very positive.

I also had a very bad experience with this doctor that almost cost me my life. Her practice is highly negligent and questionable. She is treating people with grave illnesses who are not getting the care or referrals they should.

I was treated by Dr. Deroin for almost 3 years. In March her behavior changed and she became very rude and condescending whenever I went to my appointments. I filed a complaint with the Naturopathic Board for emotional abuse and patient neglect. I was bleeding in my lung and my pulmonologist stated that I had a Bronchiectesis. I ask Dr. Deroin to stop giving me Peroxide IV's because the FDA lists how Peroxide IV's can cause internal bleeding. Dr. Deroin continued to give me three more IV's and lied at the board hearing stating that I had requested the IV's. After leaving her and going to another Naturopathic Physician, the other Physician stated that there was no way she should have continued the Peroxide IV's as she knew of the bleeding. At the Dec.13th, 2007 board hearing, Dr. Deroin lied about everything I had notified the board of. I have never heard a Dr. lie as she did. Her two front office staff also resorted to slander against me and character deprivation in their letters to the Naturopathic Board, in order to cover up for Dr. Deroin's behavior. If you value your life, don't go here. Unfortunately, this kind of unethical and unprofessional behavior gives Naturopathic Medicine a bad rap. I love the practice of Naturopathic Medicine and I would recommend the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine Clinic. I see Dr. Sara Hazel, NMD at the clinic and she is a wonderful doctor. Their phone number is 480-970-0000 and they are at Hayden and McDowell (8010 East McDowell Road, ste.113, Scottsdale, Az.

I didn't actually see Dr. Deroin, as she's booked. I saw Dr. Novakova, who works with Dr. Deroin. I was seriously poisoned by a toxin, and she told me on the phone that it was no problem. She said they do ozone therapy, etc., which can help. I also had ringing in my ears from the pesticide. Ozone is supposed to help that. I got to her office. Her first visit consisted of just talking to me for 1 1/2 hrs. No tests or treatments or anything. I paid about $200 just to talk to someone who's not even a psychiatrist. As were were talking my face started to feel swollen and flush. When she left the room, I looked around. She had one of those Glade type air fresheners plugged into her wall. What kind of ND would do that? Most people (myself included) who go to ND's are chemically sensitive. I was sick for the rest of the evening. On top of that, she said she won't do ozone therapy on me because I have toxicity and ringing in my ears. Yet, those are two conditions it's indicated for. Hmmm. She said my recovery will be LOOONG and drawn out and will require many visits. Hmmmm. My boyfriend said I should have just rushed out of her room without paying. Maybe. Anyone reading this, save your money.
