I agree with the two previous reviewers. This place charges WAYYY to much for their service.

I decided to not get anything done and go with another dentist, who was almost 40% less then this dentist.

None of the staff or the dentist we're that welcoming.

Overall, I wouldnt suggest this place to anyone!!!

Business Response:

I'm sorry that you feel we charged too much for your proposed treatment. We attempt to do our best at pricing our services that is competitive with the dental market; that is why we have always accepted dental insurance as a contracted provider. That means that we are committed by contract to charging you what your insurance company dictates. Unfortunately due to the current economic times, we are seeing a change in what types of policies employers are offering thier employees. If you would like some assistance in reviewing your policy so that you understand it's complexities or you would like for me to visit with your company representative, please don't hesitate to contact us and ask for the Business Manager (Sid Earle).

I came into Dr.Caffey-Earle's office as a new patient. I was experiecing pain in my lower right side of my mouth, in which I had a cavity.

The dental assitant that took my xrays (Cynthia) was rude. Any questions I asked her about what she was doing or even just a simple friendly conversation she was condescending & short. She made me feel embarrassed for having a cavity. I was already nervous about seeing a new dentist and her poor attitude didnt help or feel welcoming.
While I was laid back in the chair waiting for the dentist to come in the room, the assistant ate candy or nuts out of a cup while looking at the computer screen, Which I thought was disgusting. Do they not have a break room? Or get a break?

The decor of the office was nice & warm. They have flat screens so you can watch tv or a movie vs. starring at the dentists. And cozy blankets to keep you warm if you get cold. My only issue there was when your walking to get ti your dental chair you walk past the room where they keep the instuments..they had a trashcan that was so full of trash that trash was hanging out of it and on the floor around it. Since the trash was fast food cups and sonic bags I assume they dont have a break room. Nobody stopped to pick it up either, they just walked over it.

Dr.Caffey came in and introduced herself. At first she seemed nice. Once she checked over my xrays and did an exam, she told me what I already knew. That I had a cavity...BUT I would need a crown due to the decay. And might end up needing a root canal. Well, Im not a dentist but I knew my cavity wasnt that bad. So they did a treatment plan was quoted me a ridiculous amount ( maybe their saving up for a cleaning crew or a break room) so left with it untreated. I went to another dentist yesterday and happily had my cavity filled ( NO CROWN NEEDED, CAVITY WAS ONLY ON THE SURFACE OF THE TOP OF THE TOOTH ) of course the price was alot lower since it wasnt a crown but I did ask what he charged and it was a few hundred dollars lowering..which is very important these days to save money.

I will definitely not be back to this place. I really would not recommend this place to anyone. The place is nicely decorated but thats about it.

Hello Moe B (prior review). I'm the Business Manager for Dr. Caffey-Earle's office. I cannot tell the date in which you posted the review; however, we obviously didn't meet your expectations for your family's visit. I want to personally apologize on behalf of the office for what you perceive as selling snake oil. Unfortunately, I'm unable to tell which family you are from and contact you directly but would like to extend an offer to have a complimentary exam with Dr. Caffey-Earle or our associate Dr. Garcia to review the x-rays and further explain decay progression and your specific situation. You also mention in your email about confusion relative to your insurance benefit and how that applied to the dental treatment you received. Again, I cannot specifically address your concerns because of your anonymity; however, we can send pre-determinations for all future treatment, which is over-and-above the standard we have for presenting estimated treatment plans prior to treatment. We strive to provide quality dentistry at an affordable price, which is the reason that we are contracted with most dental PPO's. Again I apologize for the treatment, and at this point can only attempt to make it right for you and your family. If you do choose to come back to the office, please don't hesitate to ask for me (Sid Earle) directly so that I may ensure your next visit meets your expectations.

Dr. Caffey-Earle has recommended several treatments for my kids that just didn't seem correct. For instance, she recommended that my daughter get two cavities filled without having performed any x-rays. I took my daughter to another dentist who told me that there were no cavities and that nothing was showing up on the x-rays. I live in the Wellington subdivision of Flower Mound and several of our friends who go to Dr. Caffey-Earle have said the same thing. In fact, one of my neighbors had to go back to Dr. Caffey-Earle four times to have her crown reset. Not very professional if you ask me.

Dr. Caffey-Earel recommended a crown for one of my teeth and quoted me an outrageous price. Based on my friends experience, I went to another dentist and received better treatment for about 70% of the price.

Also, the office staff will often quote treatments as being covered by insurance but be advised that an additional bill will most likely follow in the mail. I was told that sealants for my kids would be completely covered by insurance. The staff kept telling me it was free but not once did they mention that the quote was simply an estimate. I must have heard the word "free" six times and "quote" zero times.
