I purchased frames and lenses from City Eyes. I had my own prescription, which made the process much easier. I found that City Eyes' frames were no more expensive then LensCrafters or any other optomotrist (including Kaiser). I got a great pair of Coach frames, the lens, and a sunglass clip for less than $320. Lenscrafters did not even include the sunglass clip and their price (which included 50% off the frames) was $450. I got a much better deal at City Eyes. BTW: Both gentlemen on site provided me with great customer service.

I went to City Eyes to get a new perscription on eyeglasses and contact lenses. The whole process was long and tedious and I had to wait a few days to get an appointment. I ended up picking out a pair of frames (frames average $300+) and ordered them. I still had contacts left but left thinking I'd done a complete routine for both contacts AND glasses.

When I later had another store call that was closer to my house since I'd moved to get my perscription, the doctor refused to give it to him. He claims that I was told I had to come back for a follow up appointment before he would write a perscription. Since I was in the same contacts I was forced to drive nearly an hour to do a "follow up" and pay an additional $70 before he would release my perscription. When I went, he didn't even do anything except shine a light in my eye and then write the perscription. I know there are legalities to these things but I was at an eye professional and they said that wasn't necessary.

Not only did this doctor misinform me of the services I was paying for and not provide what I'd paid for. On top of that, he was actually physically yelling at both the new provider and myself. He must've been so angry that I wasn't returning to him that he felt the need to be unnecessarily rude. I was so turned off by the behavior that I reported him to the Better Business Bureau.
